We stayed here for the Houston Renaissance festival. The breakfast is included in your stay; It was an amazing breakfast, and I couldn't speak more highly about it!!! The menu varies a little each day, but they had eggs, sausage, potatoes (one of the mornings), overnight oats with chia seeds, yogurt, oatmeal, a pancake maker, various breads to toast, etc.The available hot sauce, slivered almonds and other nuts, whipped butter and other unique spreads were small ouches that really made a difference in the quality of food.
The staff was fantastic, and the owner was very involved. He asked if we had any constructive criticism or any bad experiences during our stay (We did not, but this is a great practice and showed me how much he cared about the quality of service being provided, which prompted me to write this review). He and the other staff clearly take a lot of pride in the work that they do, and it shows.
I'm in the military, and recently signed up for the AMEX Hilton Aspire card, as it gives you automatic Diamond status, and the annual credit card fee is waived for active-duty service members; I am SO happy that I did, because we did receive a space-available upgrade from a one-bedroom one-bathroom suite with a pull-out sofa bed to a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom suite with a king and 2 twin beds. We had four adults (one couple, and 2 singles), and this upgrade made it exceptionally more comfortable for the four of us! They also provided a welcome gift of 2 water bottles and a snack, which is lovely.
10/10 this hotel is very well run, and I highly recommend it!

Very old, well kept. Pet odors are a major downer. Price & location are right.

I’ve stayed here a few times, but this last visit I could tell this place really went down hill.
The first thing I noticed is that the wifi was terrible. It was like the wifi on a plane where you can send iMessages and nothing else. Normally this wouldn’t bother me, but I also had no cell signal with Verizon and had to walk down the street to make a call or do anything in my phone.
I got a note slid under my doors last night telling me my water will be turned off today.
The gym has weights and only 1 treadmill.
I came out for breakfast this morning at 6am and it wasn’t out. I looked to at least get a class of water and they didn’t have that much out either and they don’t have a place to refill water bottles.
It’s currently 6:30 and they still don’t have breakfast out, so it looks like I’ll have to go out for breakfast.
I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels and this is probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I don’t even like writing reviews, so the fact that I’m writing this now should speak to how bad this place has become.

I liked the Homewood, but there was a nightlight that was way too bright and you still have to request room service here. I had to put a pillow over the nightlight which is above the sink. They do have an excellent breakfast and very nice people at the front desk. I also like that it is not close to any other buildings and there are neighborhoods where you can go for a run.

This stay was probably the best hotel stay I have had in years! The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast for all three mornings was very good, pool was great and location was perfect! Lastly, the hotel staff, especially Kim, were incredibly helpful! Highly recommend!
