My mom, my two sons and I stayed here while in town for a wedding that my mom was attending. On my mom’s drive home it was raining exceptionally hard, and she ended up getting into a car accident. It was almost midnight, and she was in a ditch crying on the phone with me until EMS got there to check her out 20 minutes later. The available staff and even some of the people staying at the hotel helped me by holding my infant while I talked to my mom on the phone, helping me calm my mom down on the phone and keep her talking, and just being there so I wasn’t alone. One member of the staff stayed hours past her shift in case I needed something, I didn’t get her name. Thankfully the injuries my mom sustained were minor and she was able to be brought back to the hotel by a state trooper. The car wasn’t as fortunate, she had to be towed to a wreck yard. We are just so thankful that my mom is alive! But the cherry on top was that we had run out of diapers for my oldest overnight because the plan was for her to pick them up on her way back (neither of us knew there would be storms) and we had no car to go get diapers, so I asked the front desk if there was any delivery service that might bring me some or if there was somewhere within walking distance that I could go to, and one of the workers, Michelle, (edit: my apologies, her name was Tish!) went and got us not one but TWO packs of diapers on her dollar and refused me when I asked to pay her back. Thank you so much to all of you who helped us!!!! Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
