  Here’s the deal. I made a reservation at this hotel, having stayed here many times in the past. Unfortunately, during my most recent prior stay, the experience was poor. Several appliances in the room did not work, communication from staff was lacking, and despite requesting a late checkout due to working night shifts, staff knocked on the door at 10:30 a.m. When we checked out, we addressed these issues professionally at the front desk. Management apologized, and we moved on. Approximately six months later, I booked this hotel again due to its location and room layout. About 24 hours after booking—and roughly one hour before arrival following a seven-hour drive—I received a call stating that I was on their “do not rent” list. No explanation could be provided. The staff member who called was courteous and escalated the issue to the general manager, but no one could explain why I had been placed on the list. I can only assume it stemmed from my prior, professional complaint. They did offer to allow us to stay; however, the room assigned was on the third floor, and the elevator was out of service. Unfortunately, this reinforced the ongoing issues with maintenance and communication, so we chose to stay elsewhere. In short, if you don’t mind non-functioning appliances, broken elevators, or inconsistent communication, this hotel may work for you. If you do value those things and want a comparable room at a lower cost, I would recommend Kenedy Eagles Den by Wyndham Hotels, located in Kenedy.

  Spacious rooms with kitchenette and big restroom. Could be 5 stars but windows are screwed to the frame; a bit smelly; for two weeks staying there they didn't come to clean and change towels even once. I worked 12h day shifts and I didn't have neither time nor energy to complain about it. They have free laundry downstairs but it was a high level quest: two of four washing machines didn't work, one of three dryers didn't work. The line was pretty big, that's expected for the three story hotel. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast, instead you can buy some food downstairs and get free decent coffee 24/7. There is a Walmart in a two minutes walking.

  I stayed there for six nights. WiFi was terrible. WiFi signal from Walmart next door was stronger. Most of the listed TV stations weren't available on my TV. I mentioned it to the person at the desk each day and got a new excuse each day. I'm betting they aren't paying their bill for all of the channels and just blame it on the satellite company.

  My husband and I stayed here for two nights and had a GREAT stay. Our room was very clean, quiet and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here anytime we are in town.
