My short stay at the DoubleTree -DFW Airport North was so good I wish I could have stayed longer. Setting the positive tone for the weekend started before I even arrived. After landing at the Airport, I called to ask where I catch the complimentary airport shuttle. Maile gave me spot-on directions. Then - I kid you not - the very moment I stepped onto the curb, the shuttle rolled up like it had been waiting dramatically just off stage for its cue. After a short drive to the hotel, I entered the lobby and was happy to hear 80's music playing. Maile and Berenice greeted me with genuinely warm smiles that instantly made me feel welcome. Check-in was quick and smooth. They answered all my questing, got me a nice room, filled me in on breakfast, and provided me with some helpful tips for navigating the Hilton Honors app. And of course, handed me one of their famous DoubleTree Signature Chocolate Chip Cookies - always a hit. My room was spacious, clean, already had a luggage stand out, and the desk is so big I had more than enough room for my workstation... and snacks. If I had to note anything, it would be that the shower water could be a bit hotter and the towels are due to be retired and replaced with new softer ones. Breakfast was another surprise. Sure, they have the basics - but then you turn the corner and suddenly there's an omelet station, shockingly good bacon, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal with all the fixings, yogurt, a wide variety of fresh fruit, and bakery level pastries that put this buffet well above average. Despite this being my first stay, Maile and Berenice treated me like a beloved regular guest they were genuinely happy to see again. Their hospitality left a real impression. Well done, DoubleTree. Seriously, well done. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Great stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas. The rooms were comfortable and clean, staff was friendly, and the location is convenient for getting around Dallas. The warm cookies at check-in were a nice touch. Solid experience overall — would definitely stay again.

I was in room 534. There was mold on the grout in the shower. The drain would not drain in the tub. The room smelled of mold and was musty when you walked in.

My recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The issues started immediately at check-in. The front desk staff informed me that my room had already been paid for by the company that books my government travel. Anyone who travels on official government orders knows that is not how it works. I am required to use my government travel card for payment. After several minutes of confusion, they realized they had simply failed to put the card on file properly. Only then was I finally able to check in. When I entered the room, I was hit with a strong mildew smell. The air was stale and the room was hot. I soon discovered the air conditioning was not working. I had to return to the front desk and request maintenance. Engineering came up and “fixed” the AC, but it was extremely loud, cycled on and off constantly, and never properly cooled the room. It felt like sleeping next to a malfunctioning generator. On top of that, the lamp by the bed didn’t work at all. The room itself looked dated. The hallways painted a dingy blue-gray paint that added to the overall neglected feel. The experience didn’t improve at checkout. The front desk associate was on his personal cell phone during the process, carrying on a conversation while attempting to check me out. He wasn’t even dressed in standard hotel attire. It felt unprofessional and careless. I also dined at the hotel restaurant and spent $35 on a single Old Fashioned that was filled to the brim with ice that was $18, a small portion of chicken wings. The value simply wasn’t there. Between the check-in confusion, the poor room conditions, the unprofessional staff behavior, and the overpriced restaurant experience, I will not be staying at this hotel again nor will I recommend it to anyone. The only saving grace is that the hotel is close to the DFW Airport. Edit: Feel free to reach out to me.

No place to hang clothing in my room 206. No towel bars in bathroom. Drain in bath not draining properly so water and residue from the drain pipe floats around your ankles during showers. I was charged an additional $40 when I changed my room from a king to a two bed room! The shuttle from the airport was old, rickety, and more a horrible experience as driver drove fast dispite our comfort. We were there for a convention and only one person manning the bar/restaurant on Fri and Sat nights. No maid service until it was requested at 4:00 PM on Sat. Even then, not all bath linens and coffee bar supplies were restocked. Just a bad experience except for the group lunch served on Sat for our meeting. It was very good.
