Roger delivered exceptional customer service. I enjoyed the elliptical and the treadmill in the gym. I enjoyed the lounge area. I did not like the room. It smelled like mold/mildew. There were several aspects of the hotel that were outdated. We had to take ice cold showers. The lamp shades were dirty and needed to be cleaned. The toilet was dirty with mold and mildew. The carpet in the elevator and the foyer were dirty and frayed. The restroom across from the gym was out of Kleenex and paper towels, so I notified the front desk. Unfortunately, the next day, I returned to this restroom after working out and those items were still empty. The Kleenex in our room was already at the blue ones when we checked in and housekeeping should’ve replaced it when cleaning the room, prior to us checking in. The ground shakes and the walls are very thin, making us feel that the structure of the hotel is unsafe. The telephone was discolored. The employees on Sunday left their cars parked under the awning, which should be for guests who are checking in and out of the hotel. I would never stay at this hotel again! My first recommendation is to determine the root cause of the mold/mildew smell and get that repaired!

Hampton for the win. After Home 2 overbooked and didn't have a room for my reservation, Hampton came in clutch. Decent prices and clean hotel. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The hotel charged me $1000 for a “destroyed desk” which clearly had water damage already when I checked in & I in no way could have caused anymore damage to it. The room also had existing chipped paint & ruined trim. I brought my company through & spent $7,000 dollars on rooms for a project & when I disputed this they never agreed to reconcile or refund my credit card. I will never stay here again.

My husband and I recently stayed at your property from August 22–24, 2025, while moving our daughters into Sam Houston State University. We chose Hampton Inn because we expected the comfort, professionalism, and standards associated with the Hilton brand. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing due to an incident that occurred on the evening of August 23. On Friday, August 22, we checked in and had no issues during our first night. The following morning, we left early for a full day of moving. I turned off the air conditioning before leaving and placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door because I did not want anyone entering the room. When I returned to the room later that day, I was shocked and disturbed to find it reeked strongly of marijuana smoke. The smell was overwhelming and completely unacceptable in a reputable hotel. My daughter arrived shortly afterward and confirmed the odor. To be clear, marijuana remains illegal in Texas, and it is deeply concerning that this smell was present inside my private room — especially given that no one should have entered due to the “Do Not Disturb” sign. I immediately went downstairs to report this issue to the front desk. The staff member’s response was dismissive. He refused to come up and verify the odor himself and simply offered to move me to another room “if I wanted to.” This was not an adequate response to such a serious issue. The situation was never investigated, and I was left questioning whether someone entered my room and smoked inside. As a result, I was forced to pack all of my belongings and move rooms late in the evening after an exhausting day — a significant inconvenience and a complete failure of the service I expected from Hampton Inn.
