- EEEvelyn2 days ago1.0I am writing to share my deep frustration regarding our recent stay at the Holiday Inn near Bush International Airport in Houston, TX. As a rewards member who has stayed with Holiday Inn for four decades, I expected the standard level of comfort and hospitality I’ve come to rely on. Unfortunately, we met with a room that smelled unwashed and a thermostat set to a stifling 80 degrees on an 84 degrees warm day on 1/2/2026. When I sought assistance for extra bedding, I was met with excuses rather than service. The female supervisor claimed that extra blankets and sheets were unavailable because I hadn't requested them at the time of booking. It is unlikely they ran out of extra bedding while their parking lot was almost empty. It is both illogical and inhospitable. Finally, we were never informed of the $150 security deposit when we check-in. It felt like a predatory practice, especially compared to the $50 fee at the San Antonio Riverwalk location we stayed at the night before. We checked in after 8pm and had to get up at 2am to catch early flights. This experience was a significant disappointment, and we will never stay at this Holiday Inn again.
