  Customer service at the front desk and over the phone was top-notch! The room was great, and I enjoyed the chocolate cookies in the evening, along with their great breakfast! They did miss my wake-up call, but it happens. We will be back! The location was perfect too!

  I had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had at Holiday Inn. While I understand the property is under construction, that is absolutely no excuse for the unsafe and unsanitary conditions I encountered. Walking to my room, there was a razor blade left in the hallway — a serious safety hazard that should never be overlooked. Once inside the room, the issues only continued. There were multiple cleanliness problems throughout — visible dirt and grime, bugs present, and overall poor housekeeping standards. The bathroom area and fixtures were not properly maintained, and even basic items like the lamp were broken. The most unacceptable part of my stay happened at 4 AM when I woke up to a mouse inside my room. That was the final straw. I immediately packed my belongings, checked out, and left the property. Construction or not, there is a minimum standard of safety and cleanliness that should always be upheld. This stay fell far below that standard. I would not recommend this location to anyone until major improvements are made.

  I do not recommend staying here. Our room was in the second building across from the main lobby, and our first red flag was that the entrance door wouldn’t unlock with our key card. We even asked a maintenance man for help, and his didn’t work either, yet he didn’t offer any additional assistance. We went back to the front desk in the other building and were told to “pull really hard.” We told her we did this, so she checked it herself. She was unsuccessful and ended up using a rock to prop the door open. No solution was given when I expressed my concerns of safety and access to the building if I decided to go to the gym the next morning in the main building. When we got to our room, we noticed the floor was dirty and there was a sticky spill that hadn’t been cleaned up. The shower curtain had a large rip, and the sheets had hairs on them as if they had been slept in. It was so unclean that we called to have sheets changed and a replacement shower curtain. 20 minutes later, no service had arrived, and we asked for a refund, so we could find a different hotel. When our Uber driver arrived, he told us that this area of Houston is full of crime and was surprised we were planning to stay in this hotel. — I’m not sure how this place gets a 3.9 star rating. I would give this place 1 or 2 stars only for the fact that the front desk employee didn’t question giving us a refund.
