- CDCherie Dai1 day ago5.0My family and I stayed here as I was running the Houston Marathon, and I must say, the service, the room, the ambiance, and the hotel are wonderful. It's about a 10-min walk to the George R Brown Convention Center and only a stone's throw away from the Toyota Center. Parking isn't free, but that is to be expected as most hotels in Downtown Houston operate like that. I especially like that it's quiet in the rooms. I can occasionally hear other people opening and closing their doors, but the walls are pretty soundproof. It's great if you need a good night's rest, which I did before the marathon. I also noticed that it's dog-friendly as I saw other hotel guests with their dogs. I will definitely book with Tru the next time I run the Houston Marathon.

Use spot hero app of you don't want to pay the ridiculous parking charges. I paid $20 for 2 nights across the street albeit in an open lot. Would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast had items that had mold on them and the elevator almost crashed down when me and my daughter were in it causing me to hit my head and to top it off they over charged me almost $300 on my bill after checkout that they still have yet to be corrected in my account. Never stay here or at any Hilton for the cost of the hotel ive had better stays at lesser branded hotels.
