We were in Houston for the first time. Booked this hotel because we are an Hilton Honors member. We were very pleasantly surprised with how convenient this place is located. Lots of restaurants near by. Easy in and out of the city! Clean rooms- all suite style. We didn't use the amenities, but there is a small outdoor pool and a gym at the hotel.

Two days in on a four day stay and not impressed. Elevators were spotty starting night one. They would stop at random floors and would not continue. Towels were scratchy and it’s very questionable to us if they were washed from the last people here! We had a king suite with a sleeping couch for our teen but they were “out” of bedding for the couch. Very expensive breakfast, nothing complimentary. Ordered room service for dinner, half the meal was charged but left out of the delivery. We had hoped considering the higher price from comparable hotels, that we would have better service and accommodations, unfortunately we did not.

Hilton’s servers were down from 5:30–8:00, so we were unable to check into our room during that time. The hotel provided one drink voucher for the bar, which we appreciated, but we still had to wait for the system to come back online before we could access our room.
The room itself was nice, but it would have been better with a full tub instead of a shower-only setup. We were told tubs were only available in handicap-accessible rooms.
We also weren’t given clear information about the difference between the grab-and-go breakfast and the restaurant breakfast, and we weren’t informed that parking was not included. We were charged $32 per night for parking. Overall, it felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed, which was disappointing given the cost of the stay. We won’t be back.

As a supposed 4 star hotel it falls short, I would consider it closer to a 3 star or maybe even 2.
When you first walk into the lobby, you are greeted by mirrors, making it a bit disorienting like a fun house. No signs on where the front desk is.
The room itself, on first appearance, is nice and modern. But then once you’ve settled in you start seeing the issues. My room had a huge puddle of unknown liquid next to the toilet. Stray hairs in several places in the bathroom from previous guests. I was on a relatively lower floor and could hear the highway traffic clearly.
Despite all that, one of my biggest complaints is the lighting in the room. The room was divided into 2 parts, a lounging area and a sleeping area, both with their own TV. Which was great, however the sleeping area had one solitary light and it was a daylight white LED. The lounging area had a couple more lights but they were also hospital white. All the hallways also have that uninviting white light. Also, no bottled water in the room! And just fyi they have garment steamers, no irons, but the steamer actually worked well for once, unlike my experience at other hotels.
Another issue was that part of the room was carpeted and part was tiled, which normally would be fine but in this case if you stepped on the transition between the two it stabbed your feet with thousands of tiny little spikes from the carpet strip thing that holds carpet in place. Of course I stepped on that multiple times, it got to the point where I had to put a towel down.
I had no idea where the fitness center was. Apparently you have to walk outside to get to it, nobody ever told me this but I saw people walking in workout clothes.
The restaurant was decent. A bit expensive for what it was, but was fine if you’re not wanting to venture out.
The little marketplace is located in a nook behind the front desk and was very very sparse, so definitely do not count on that to keep away late night hunger.
I think I would stay again but the stay wasnt perfect.
First, I wish I wouldve known that you need to check in on the app so by the time you arrive the room you pick is ready. It worked out but it was a minor inconvenience.
Second, the hotel is a remod. Thats fine, but I would have hoped things like rust on access doors or shower drains that dont fit into their well properly. Also, the off/pause button on the handshower didn't work. Again, minor inconveniences.
The restaurant and our waitress were amazing. The food is great. Props to our waitress that was on duty Valentines evening.
The parking elevator is separate from the room elevators so be prepared for a little walk.
Overall, the rooms were very clean and most staff were exceedingly helpful. There wasnt a lot of noise from neighboring rooms. The traffic in The Galleria may be bothersome for some. It took us almost 15 minutes to go less than 2 miles when we were arriving. The hotel is at the corner of a very busy intersection where traffic exiting the freeway often cuts off cars waiting in the right lane so be aware when you are entering or exiting.
