    Here is an HIE that goes above and beyond. The fitness room is up to date. Pool is terrific. Breakfast and breakfast area very good. But above all the employees shine. Can't go wrong here.

    Everything was fine, two things i’ll say, maid walked in at 9:30 am with the do not disturb sign on the door while i was naked in the bathroom with the door open and did not apologize. Secondly, my boyfriend and his coworkers all hotel reward members, and have been staying here the past two nights were approached at exactly 2 pm, which is when late check out ended, and Matthew the alleged “front desk manager”, said they were not allowed to sit in the empty lobby to finish their work. I asked if there was any reason if maybe there was a meeting he said “no, matter of fact yall should have never got free late check out”. Honestly he seemed bored because there’s no reason 4 men working in silence cant sit in the lobby of the hotel they paid to stay in the past two nights

    We attempted to check in early after a long 12 hour drive around 10:30am. The manager, Matthew, explained that it was based off availability. He checked and stated there were several empty rooms but they would need to be cleaned. He stated it would be an additional $40 for early check in. We agreed it would be fine and waited in the lobby until our room was ready. About 3 hours go by (and after hearing him urge housekeeping to clean a room quickly for someone on the phone) and we finally decide to ask if a room was available. He checked and said “oh, let me check. Yes, looks like there is a room available.” At this point, we were a little frustrated because we had all of our luggage, a crying/sleepy medically complex child, and pure exhaustion. My mom stated if he couldn’t make the accommodation for early check in, he should’ve stated it from the beginning and we could’ve made other plans to occupy our time. She stated she was a loyal member and had never run into these issues before. He immediately became visibly annoyed. Initially, he stated he wasn’t aware we were members and then stated because we booked through a 3rd party, we didn’t get member benefits as he rolled his eyes. Additionally, there wasn’t any hot water. We made management aware but it was never resolved. Our showers/baths were lukewarm at best. Matthew gave us a hard time about how many towels we could have. Told us he could only give us 2 (despite our party having 4 people) until we gave him the dirty towels even though housekeeping wasn’t there. I offered to put them outside of our room but he stated I had to bring them down. There are so many other things I could list but review is long enough. TLDR: FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. We stayed a week and they made our stay terrible. We’ve never had an experience like this and we were so ready to go. If we could’ve gone elsewhere without losing the money we paid, we would’ve.

    This hotel needs to receive a violation from the City of Houston due to the extremity of disgusting green and brown algae on the Westheimer side of the building. They need to find a company with a scissor lift or a boom lift if the issue is height.

    Not a place to rest at all in our experience. Poorly constructed with paper thing walls and no sound-proof windows. Right at the intersection, so cars and bikes with loud noise woke us up every 20 mins or so! The road noise, the stumping from the above floor and the loud music they played all night long in the hallways ( as a white noise probably!). So No, we could not rest and that’s what the main purpose of a hotel.
