    When I arrived at the front desk, I was greeted by Abbas Kasymov. He was very welcoming and helpful. He explained all the amenities and offered me a room upgrade which I took him up on. I ended up getting a suite which was huge! The room was clean, bed was comfortable. It is an older property, but well maintained. Only a 5 minute drive to MD Anderson. I recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the Houston Medical Center.

    Ed at the poolside bar did the best old fashioned in Texas - as for the Gatlin. Worth a visit even if you don’t stay at the Hotel.

    Bed bug bites covered my body after my 3 night stay. Tried to get through to the manager and she was defensive and unapologetic. I called 4 times and was never offered a refund for my pain and discomfort.

    Horrible experience. Was quoted 1 price was charged another. Tried to use points for the entire stay but since I didn't have enough for the second night had to pay in full for the second night. (Never had this experience before- usually you can you use points and pay). They charged the wrong credit card. Items were missing from the room upon returning to the room. Filed a complaint with corporate Hilton - was initially told that they would take care of everything. I asked for the general manager to call me back, the sales manager did. I asked a second time for the general manager to call me back. That was 11 days ago. Called corporate 2 more times for resolution and now have been told there is nothing they can do. I asked the person on the phone to let me speak with someone else or have their manager call me back- she refused 7 times. So much for 100% satisfaction.
