I normally never do reviews I feel like people use them to bash after not getting their way. Let me start by saying I paid for my entire stay even though I checked out a day early which by the way I guess the lady at the desk didn’t process because when I checked the App I still had my digital key and was still checked into the room. The hotel is beautiful upon arrival but the rooms definitely need some major attention! The old musty smell is the first turn off when you enter and it just felt unclean then we say the bugs and it was a lot of them. I come to Houston a lot and I usually try different hotels just for the experience and to see different areas but this one was my first and worst experience!

Let me just say that I have traveled a lot from the US, to Europe, to Mexico and this was the worst room I've ever stayed in. Hilton should be ashamed. The fact that I'm even doing a review says a lot, because I never write them but I have to get this out. The location - 5 stars. On the surface it looks beautiful. Great entrance and decor and the view of Clear Lake is stellar. My room (1220), however, was HORRIBLE. It is VERY dated. It smelled SOOOO musty and moldy. I had a stomach ache for 2 days. The carpet is gross. I walked in my flip flops every moment I was in the room. It took forever to get hot water. The shower head and tub are gross. You can't even adjust the shower head so I was smashed against the wall along the big hand rail. The furniture is old and scratched and falling apart. The TV isn't even a smart TV (which is very surprising in this day & age). Everything was old. Baseboards - wow. Surprisingly the bed was comfy. The ONLY 5 star thing was my view of the lake from my room. I enjoyed a beautiful sunrise one morning. The restaurant was fine. They had someone making fresh omelets which was good. Stay here at your own risk.

As others have noted, I opened my room door to find some sort of bug scurrying across the floor. Overall, our rooms were rough and need work (we got three): water damage on the ceiling, peeling wallpaper, and vent covers holding on for dear life. Buying things from the snack shop downstairs requires paperwork, so prepare for an adventure. Not sure if it's just a Houston thing but overall this one felt a little unclean.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake and overall had a very good experience. I was initially concerned after seeing an old review mentioning bed bugs, but after calling and speaking with management, they reassured me it was an isolated incident from quite a while back involving an upset guest. Upon arrival, my room was clean, comfortable, and completely bug-free. While the hotel is a bit dated, everything was well maintained. My only real complaint is that the AC unit can be a bit loud when it’s running.
As a Hilton Gold member, the $30 daily credit was a nice perk. The staff throughout my stay were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Check-in was quick and easy, which I appreciated after a long day of travel.
The gym was decent and conveniently located on the lower level. There’s also a small lobby convenience store where you can grab snacks, tea, coffee, and drinks. The outdoor pool looked nice, though it was too cool and windy during my visit to use it.
Location-wise, it’s a bit of a distance from the NASA Johnson Space Center, but only about a $10 Lyft ride, so getting there wasn’t an issue. For the price, I find this hotel to be a great value, and I’d definitely consider staying here again.

We had a very poor experience at the Hilton Houston Nasa Clear Lake. Let me start by saying the bed was good and we enjoyed the view from 1202. The rest was not so good. We checked in with our app and went straight to our room expecting to use the digital key. It did not work so I had to go back down to the desk to get key cards while my wife waited outside the room. The 12th floor and our room smelled old and musty. When we started unpacking my wife stepped in a big wet spot by her side of the bed. She soaked it up as well as she could with towels from the bathroom. On our way out to the dinner we asked the front desk if somebody could see why the floor was wet and leave some more towels. On our return from dinner nothing had been done. It took 2 phone calls to the front desk to get replacement towels. The next issue was the shower. The drain was slow so the tub filled ankle deep with water. Also, the water temperature kept changing between very hot and cold. The final issue was the restaurant. We were out all day Saturday so we decided to try the restaurant. The table we were seated at was wet and sticky. The gold colored plates on the table were not clean. There were only 4 or 5 tables with people but it still took more than 5 minutes just to get water and a menu. We got up and left at that point. This was the worst experience we have had with Hilton. We will probably go with Marriott next time.
