The location was very convenient from the VA. All the staff were nice and friendly. My stay on 11/21-22 was comfortable. Special shout out to Keenan our bartender. -Only a few cons Gentleman working front desk had a portable speaker playing loud unprofessional music. -Limited handicap parking up front -No complimentary breakfast, for the rate you can find other local hotels that offer it.

A Signed Contract Should Mean Something — But Not Here. We secured a courtesy room block at the Hilton Garden Inn Houston Medical Center for our 2026 family reunion—four years in the making, with published dates, printed materials, and families already planning travel. Our contract was signed and returned, and the hotel even issued our official reservation link on October 1st. Then—six months before the contractual cut-off date—the hotel called to inform me our entire room block was canceled because FIFA bought out the hotel. No prior notice. No alternatives of equal value. No accountability. We were told we could either change our established reunion dates (impossible) or move to a different city, miles away, at significantly higher rates. Then we were told the contract “wasn’t fully executed” because the hotel never countersigned—yet they still sent us an active public link for families to book. This is not how hospitality, integrity, or community partnership works. Our family reunion is based in Houston’s Historic Third Ward. We chose this hotel because it sits within a 4–8 mile radius of all our weekend events. The alternatives they suggested would place our elders and families in heavy FIFA traffic, far from our venues, and at a financial disadvantage. We are deeply disappointed. A signed commitment and published link should be honored—not revoked when something more profitable comes along. We expected better from Hilton.

My wife had surgery at MD Anderson this week. I stayed here a couple of nights while she was recovering and she stayed with me a couple of days after discharge and before we drove home. Quiet hotel, very clean, and super comfortable beds. I had a problem with the window shades in my room (electric) and the front desk moved me to a new room ASAP. I can’t say enough. Will be staying here as we go back for future visits.

Extremely disappointing customer service at the bar. The bartender mistakenly charged my friend and me for an extra beer. He said he’d issued a refund, but when the charge later posted, my friend had to make several calls just to reach the manager, Kerman. Instead of simply processing the refund, he insisted on “confirming” the charge with the bartender, despite us having clear proof of the transaction on her card. The refund was never issued, nor was there an apology. For a company that reported $8.78 billion in revenue in 2024, it’s disappointing to see guests made to jump through hoops over a $5 mistake.
