  It is an older hotel and definitely needs to be updated and remodeled The hotel was clean but with this hotel being listed as accommodating to local medical facilities it should have a higher level of cleanliness Excpecially since a large majority of people staying are immunocompromised. For example the carpet is old and stained an definitely needs to be replaced. Paint is pealing in the shower ceilings The staff are great and very accommodating The breakfast was very good and fresh.

  The room was okay. Musty smelling and just okay. Check in was okay. No one super helpful. Breakfast was there, but limited. Nothing that stands out. The most frustrating thing was the parking. The room key opened the gate to go park. I tried for 5 minutes and the key didn't work. There were 2 cars behind me. So, I attempted to move out of the way and let them try. The 2nd car couldn't get the gate to open with their key either. The 3rd car after several attempts finally got the gate to move. It was a very frustrating situation after a long drive and you just want to go lay down. Super frustrating. Would not recommend unless you are in a pinch and would not stay again.

  Location was great, loved the room; however, when I came back from a long day of working (12 hours) I found my door open. The dead bolt was left out so it would be easier for housekeeping to get in and out, and they never closed my door. I told the front desk & sent a message via the app. All they said is we will investigate. Luckily nothing was stolen.

  Room I was assigned for three nights was directly across the hall from a very noisy ice maker machine. I requested a different room at check in but was refused. Was also refused a refund so I could move to a different hotel. Only one of the two elevators was working and was being using by both guests and hotel personnel. I chose this hotel because it was close to MD Anderson and I am a Hilton Honors Silvers member, but never again.

  Terrible week that I stayed add this Hampton Inn as a gold member no complimentary drinks and when I asked for them I was told that I needed to buy a drink also no hot water in my room when I called they offered to send maintenance up to my room so he can check to tell me to turn the hot water on in the sink on two times then turn the shower on to get hot water for 3 minutes for it to fade down to get cold while on am taking a shower this is what I had to do for 4 days did not offer me a different room very unsatisfied with this Hampton Inn I would recommend not to stay here if possible.
