Absolute lunacy for parking. When the main parking lot is full, which is extremely small and does not accommodate all guests, they guide you to park at the Latitudes parking garage. Tonight, there was no parking, so we headed to the parking garage. When I get to the front to validate parking, I'm told that the Pizza Hut is also DoubleTree's parking and that “I” made an error. I told them I had checked the entire lot a few times and was somehow made to look like a liar. I had no desire to park in the parking garage. I told them that no one had communicated the parking availability or process at check-in or at any other time. I'm met by security at the front desk because the front desk calls them up. After all, I refuse to walk back to the parking garage at night and move it to the Pizza Hut parking lot. I said I'm not walking back to move my car, then back up through the parking garage behind the hotel to move it to the Pizza Hut parking lot to save them a few bucks. I'm exhausted, and that pressure from them is completely inappropriate. Front desk escalates. The security guy comes to the front desk, stands with an authoritative air, and insinuates that I have broken policy and that I need to clear the parking validation through his team first.
No clue what he's talking about. There was no security walking rows when we came in, just full parking. I'm stunned by his demeanor. I've never been approached about hotel parking like that before. Mind you, none of that had ever been communicated by the front desk team previously. I was upset by his approach and already upset that they wanted me to move my car from the parking garage at night to Pizza Hut. This place needs a massive hospitality intervention, a revamp of their parking, staff retraining, and a lesson in how to handle an exhausted group of parents who do not need these issues from a hotel that clearly needs a heavy reset. I never want to be addressed like that by the head of security again, as we were tonight. Never in my life have I witnessed that type of behavior from front desk staff and security. That's coming through because the hotel operation is trying to mitigate costs, and it's “landing” as extremely poor hospitality.

Really enjoyed this hotel. They give you a warm cookie when you check in, and the beds are very comfortable.
There was a problem with the hot water in my room, but they immediately sent someone who fixed it right away.
The breakfast buffet is pretty good for the price, and there was a really nice server named Maria.
Overall, great value.
