    checkin is at 4 pm. i had to call hilton 800 twice and just now being told the room is ready @5:30.. i was told i have to go to the front desk just to check in and not digital checkin. another inconvenience. the front desk person said on the app she could update the room number to one that's ready. i asked her what floor on the phone because she didn't respond after that on the app. she said it will tell you in the app instead of telling me herself since she reassigned it herself. WELL THE APP STILL says preparing room & the 800 number person told me log out/log back in & it'll be there. well magically it STILL WASN'T THERE. are yall going to provide me with free late check out since i received a 90 minute late check in -in which i paid to check in on time? please don't call & put notes under the door regarding check out in 4 days bc this was ridiculous.

    Was her for a workshop 2/21-2/22. Front desk and staff were very friendly. Room was very comfortable and clean. While we had a pleasent experience, during our conference the AC in conference room went out, making it a little warm and temperature challenging for us bodyworkers in there who were learning manual therapy techniques. Coffee can definitely use an upgrade. One disappointing moment was when I ordered an espresso martini and the bartender upgraded my vodka to kettle one (without asking), up charging my drink from $19 to $23 (not including her tip $4) that’s one expensive drink.

    Quantity Over Quality My husband stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston by the Galleria, which is located in a beautiful area. Unfortunately, the hotel itself did not live up to expectations. Check-in took 36 minutes, even though there were four employees working the front desk. When we finally got to the counter, our room rate had increased from $204 to $254 due to a parking charge that was not clearly explained upfront. Breakfast is also not included unless you pay an additional fee. We were assigned a room on the 26th floor with a balcony, but the room was not up to standard. The balcony was dirty and looked like it had never been power washed. The air conditioner unit was broken, the bed frame was damaged and stained, and the extra blankets were old and stiff. The bathroom also showed signs of damage, and the shampoo and body wash smelled unpleasant. After getting ready and leaving for dinner, we returned to find that our key card no longer worked. We had to go back downstairs and wait for maintenance to let us into our room. In short, while the surrounding area is beautiful, the hotel does not meet expected standards. I would not recommend staying here.

    This hotel sucks. They charged me twice for parking over one night and was insanly unhelpful trying to get this resvoled. I was put on hold for over half an hour. Don't support this hotel and their workers. Insane.

    This Doubletree was very disappointing. I paid an incredible amount of money for one night just for a horrible customer service experience and for Check-in to take about an hour. The property needs to be updated badly, the TV is unwatchable unless you want to pay $25 a movie. There is so much potential here and it’s wasted.
