I booked my reservation through Priceline.
I was in town for business and had a two day stay. During that stay I witnessed roaches in the bathroom, couldn’t watch TV due to the channel not being available or the available channel was lagging in pixelated so I could not watch TV the entire time that I plan to just stay in and relax.
I did inform the front desk of both of these inconveniences. They did call maintenance to my room to “fix” the TV. He literally came into my room just to tell me that the satellite isn’t that great and then left.
I asked the front desk if they were gonna do any compensations for the inconvenience of the TV and unsanitary restroom situation with the roaches. She said due to a third-party they can do nothing. I said what about the parking? She said she will take care of the parking to my stay.
The next morning I checked out, she did not take care of the parking as she said, and didn’t notate anything suggesting she was going to
I got with Priceline and told them everything, they got with management and still decided to do nothing about a refund or reduction on the room. I will not be staying here again.
Also, the price may be low on Priceline, but they charge $25 a day for parking.

I would strongly caution against staying at this hotel and recommend choosing another property in the area instead.
I booked a room a month in advance and am an IHG member with status, yet check-in took 15–20 minutes because the hotel had oversold my room type. I was placed in a different room with no option.
The room had multiple issues: a leaking toilet that covered the bathroom floor overnight, an uncomfortable sagging bed, stained towels on both days despite housekeeping, and a non-working in-room phone, which meant I couldn’t contact the front desk or housekeeping.
After multiple inconveniences, I requested a one-hour late checkout. This resulted in repeated back-and-forths with the front desk (Kristin and Lola) and ultimately only a 15-minute extension. Despite that, housekeeping knocked on my door three times within minutes asking if I was checking out, which forced me to leave early.
Even finding the room was frustrating—8th-floor signage was confusing, pointed in the wrong direction, and some doors lacked clear numbering.
Overall: poor maintenance, poor communication, and no meaningful service recovery. I would not stay here again until these issues are addressed

The lady at the front desk (Kristen I believe) that helped us check in was lovely, easy check in experience. The issue started with a massive cockroach being right outside the elevator on our floor. We checked our room and everything seemed okay but when we spotted a mess on the bed spread, house keeping proceeded to tell us “it’s a small stain, not that big of a deal”. After the roach, the stain, and her attitude we were turned off and decided to leave. The front desk (not the same woman that checked us in) didn’t even ask why we weren’t comfortable staying. No, they didn’t have to ask but you would think there would be some concern. Overall the cleanliness is what made us leave the hotel.

By far the worst experience ever at any hotel.
Crowne Plaza Medical District in Houston is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in terms of location, staff, and security.
On Feb. 15, 2026, at precisely 4:30 AM, a group of trashy guests decided they would bring the after party back to their room. Blasting music, screaming and yelling that was audible through multiple floors. It would take 3 call to reach front desk, in which the replied at the time was, “their security was making the rounds and that they’ll address the problem.” The trashy party continue to happen until 6:00 AM, without ANY intervention from front desk or security.
When we approached front desk as to why they did nothing to stop the incident, the Crowne Plaza management offered up nothing but lies and deceit. Management informed us that we were “the only room that called.” That is a lie, given my friend in a different room also called to complain about the disturbance.
The only logically conclusion we have is that the Crowne plaza management is lazy and incompetent at their job. And when offered a chance to correct their incompetency, chose to become liars instead. The “not my problem” attitude was clear from management. I would not recommend anyone to stay here unless you want to have no sleep, no security, and no safety

I stayed here for eight days and somewhat enjoyed my stay overall. The room was clean, and several staff members were genuinely kind and accommodating. Kristina at the front desk was especially wonderful. She had excellent customer service and handled requests professionally and efficiently. Most of the male staff members I interacted with were also very helpful and accommodating.
However, my experience was inconsistent depending on who was working.
There was one daytime front desk employee (AA woman with crimped voluminous clavicle length hair) in particular who repeatedly shut down simple requests without effort or explanation.
When I asked about extending my stay, early check in, or early check out, I was immediately told nothing could be done. Yet when I spoke to other front desk staff or called the hotel line, those same requests were handled quickly and without issue. The inconsistency was frustrating and made the service feel dependent on mood rather than policy.
I actively tried to avoid her, however, sometimes she’d be the only one in the front desk or answering phones.
Another issue occurred after I extended my stay. Housekeeping was apparently not informed of the extension. While I was asleep, a staff member knocked aggressively on my door loud enough to startle me and was dismissive even after I explained that I had extended and did not require housekeeping and I had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my knob. It was unnecessary and uncomfortable.
A quick call to the front desk would have been the appropriate thing to do and not scare me out of my REM sleep knocking like the police.
The room’s temperature was also permanently set to 73-75, which to me is very hot. My room was hot for days. I finally complained and a front desk gentlemen kindly assisted me with getting a kind Hispanic maintenance man to adjust it.
I’ve never been in a hotel where the temperature was permanently adjusted. It’s inconvenient.
Because of these service inconsistencies and the lack of internal communication, I will not be rebooking. While parts of my stay were pleasant, professionalism and consistency matter, and unfortunately that was lacking.
