  Would definitely stay here again on any trip through DFW. Free shuttle to and from the airport was great, staff was friendly, rooms nice and clean and modern, 24 hour coffee bar with actual creamer in several different flavours, and breakfast had great options.

  Horrible experience. Walked in the room and it was damp and musty. Started having an allergic reaction to something in the room. Would go outside and it would clear up, and return as soon as I went inside. After about 2 hours of repeating this cycle every 20 minutes I told them about the front desk about the issue, told them I couldn’t stay, and asked for at least a partial refund. They said they would have to talk to their manager the next day and call me. Never heard a word from them. They have ignored every attempt at trying to discuss this with them. Additionally in the time going up and down, the only elevator got stuck on me twice. The rooms also shook as people would walk down the hallway. Normally Hilton locations are great. This one I would avoid like the plague.

  This isn't the worst place ever, but I wouldn't stay here again. They originally put us in a room right next to a room labeled "riser room". The elevator was very sketchy. The hallway had a very strong, strange smell. Minty but also chemically? Fortunately the smell wasn't present inside the room. But the first thing we noticed inside was that the window was disgusting with like white mold(?) between the planes of glass. The place was generally in need of some upkeep and repair - a lot of stains and scratches on the walls and a large crack running up one of them. Worst part, though, is that my partner and I were both woken up at 1 AM by a loud mechanical noise coming from the "riser room" that was literally shaking our entire room. The cover over the celling light was banging into the light fixture making it even louder. It lasted about 5 minutes before shutting off and fortunately didn't occur again until ~9 AM. There were other general upkeep issues, such as black stuff in the hot water provided for making tea in the lobby. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and immediately set out to rectify any issues we brought to them, but I think there needs to be more effort from management to be more proactive about the upkeep... and they should not be putting guests in rooms next to the riser room if it's going to be doing whatever it was doing at 1 AM.

  I had an issue while I was there so I had to leave early. I have never had a hotel treat me as kindly as the family that manages this one. They are truly special and awesome. I never asked for a refund or a make good, but when I checked out a couple of days early, they decided to do it without telling me. They are good and honest people. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and there is good water pressure. I really like that the rooms have both microwaves and refrigerators, and the bagel bar in the morning is nice. The downside for me is the metal chair at the desk. You cannot sit comfortably in it and work. The room size is small, but it is a no frills hotel. If you’re looking to save a bit of money and want somewhere safe and nice to stay for a couple days, spark by Hilton in grapevine is a good option.

  UPDATE: Saw the response from management. We contacted the hotel directly. We didn't call or go to a third party website to book the reservation. Dismissive response. Went to Google maps, clicked call hotel. Due diligence was DONE to book directly through Hilton. Just so you know, as we dug into the 3rd party company, we saw BBB reviews where a person was contacting the hotel directly and the employee booked through a third party website and not the hotel. In speaking with Hilton as they looked into this, the employee confirmed that third party companies will give kickbacks. Ironically, one of the BBB reviews said it was a Comfort Inn employee that booked through third party. This Hilton used to be a Comfort Inn. For what it's worth, at this location, Andy was more than nice as I called furious after this review response. Still, watch your back, there are scams in the hotel industry and the review response was as if the person didn't read that Spark Grapevine hotel was *directly* contacted. Original review: Don't book with this hotel. We called the front desk to book our stay directly with the hotel. Apparently, the person that answered identified themselves as with Hilton, but booked our stay through third party that services hotels (which was *never* disclosed) and not through Hilton directly. When changes needed to be made regarding our stay we contacted Hilton and they can't even access the reservation. They are saying our reservation is through a corporate account through this other company?! We cannot get said company - Hotel Trader.com - on the phone! Endless holds. How in the world did this go from calling Hilton to another company making a reservation through a corporate account?! Hilton informed us that this entity has their own terms and conditions we were never given, which means we didn't agree to them. We are disputing the charge with our credit card company big time for non-disclosure of everything. So just know that when you call to book this Hilton, they are using a third party and won't tell you, nor will they tell you the terms of your booking. If this isn't how it is supposed to be done, they need to check their employees and see what scam is being run. If someone at this hotel wants to respond to this review and assist us, that would be wonderful and then you can demonstrate that you are exceptional in customer service and I'll update my post. Otherwise, I'll be working with the credit card company and my review will stand.
