    I arrived at Home2 Suites by Hilton Georgetown Austin North confirmation on February 14, at 3pm.  The front desk told me that they could not check me in due to power outage. The front desk rep asked me to attempt digital check in. It was unsuccessful, no key was issued. I had an event scheduled for 6 pm., so I was forced to scramble to try to find another hotel at the last minute. I chose another Hilton.  What is really unfair is that the Home 2 Suites where I was not allowed to check in due to their power outage will not refund me. Their response was -- it's not their fault because someone ran into a pole. I don't understand why this hotel, a big name like Hilton, believes it's ok to charge me or anyone for a room that they could not provide. This is unbelievable.  Hilton should not only provide me a refund but restore my points I was forced to use because they could not provide me a room I reserved months ago. -- This is like going to a store to by a TV - you get there and they are out of stock and they still charge you for it- I just can't believe their reasoning or thought process. wow!! (LaToya and Managers)—- (In Response to “Response from the Owner”) Now your staff responding like they really care about customer service/satisfaction. This response is just for show - after speaking with your staff I reached out for corporate assistance and your staff refused to respond. You have my contact information. Call me. It shouldn’t be this difficult to work with a big brand name line Hilton. Unbelievable!!!

    Great experience. Everything was new and/or updated. The rooms were super clean. The free breakfast in the morning was amazing.

    Great location. Room was clean, breakfast had good options available. Even has a nice gym area with cardio machines and free weights.

    Great location off Rivery and the 35 … Farm to Market 2020 is across the street and many other bars. Rooms were clean and the pool looked sparkling. Breakfast was a bonus

    When I arrived at 1am there was no parking in the front, which had me worried to walk from the back to the front by myself. Once I arrived I guess I went in the side door and it was locked but after knocking a gentleman by the name of Chris open the door and got me checked in. I was a little upset because I could not check in online and the digital key was not available because it said I needed to check in online first. Chris got me quickly checked in. When I asked for the gold member status goodie bag that I have received it every single Hilton honors hotel location, Chris responded we don't give those out unless you're a diamond member. This is a gold member amenity because I receive it every time I stay at a Hilton location. He did offer me a water so I was happy about that. Once I got to the room I put my digital key in and I went in to turn on the light and it was pitch dark in there none of the light switches worked. After going to the front desk to let him know that none of the electricity in the room worked he told me that I had to enter my card on the wall for the power to work in the room. This blew my mind first of all how is anyone going to see that on the wall when it's pitch black in the room. The room was clean but I was not able to sleep because the beds were not comfortable like most of the home 2 beds are. The plus of the stay was the cleanliness and the room did not look older outdated.
