- TBTrina Barber2 days ago5.0Stayed here for my daughters softball tournament in town. When I checked in I was told my room was upgraded to a suite at no charge! Was a pleasant surprise! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and their breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had at any hotel. Would recommend staying here to anyone needing a room in the area! All staff I encountered were very friendly!

Overall I'd say it was okay. The service was good, the room was clean. (The walls and floors were a bit thin, allowing neighboring voices and footsteps to be heard and felt.) However, all things considered, I give the complimentary breakfast an A+ and the small dining area B+ to an A-.

Unfortunately, can't do much about the road noise outside but if it's really a problem, I'm sure they could move you to the other side of the hotel. Very clean well-kept room. All the amenities are available. If I were to recommend an improvement, I would ask the person working the breakfast area to not be chatting on her cell phone while working. She was on the phone the whole time I was eating breakfast. Minor distraction but it just seems a little out of character with the quality of Holiday Inn. Also, I was a little surprised that a $25 "access fee" was going to be added to my bill with the understanding that it would be reimbursed after I check out. Not sure if that's for damages or what but, it was new for me. I look forward to seeing it refunded in the next few days. Other than that, I was quite pleased with my stay!

I know it's the middle of summer in Texas but the lobby was very warm and made it uncomfortable for breakfast. Rooms were clean, smelled a little stuffy like the air had not been circulating when rooms were not occupied. Location is interesting to get to.
