  Hotel is decent. The bathroom was a little dirty and towels are thinner than other hotel chains. Bed was comfortable. There is a decent sized fridge with a small freezer space in each room. The highway outside was a little noisy. Breakfast was ok. It has a decent selection on of items. But often times were soggy or dry (cinnamon rolls).

  We stayed for three days in mid December. Booked two double queen rooms through priceline. There is ample parking space and building looked new (newish). The rooms looked fine, with sitting area and small fridge and microwave. However, one of the rooms was on the first floor (108 i belive), next to the kitchen/dining area and you could hear everything outside room. You could hear people talking and every door opening and closing. Other room was on the second floor and had "not ready" sign (AC was not working properly) at 6 pm on a day of reservation... check out at this hotel is 11 am. Also, my son, who used that room complained of hearing quest in the room below snore.That's how thin walls are...The breakfast was usual hotel breakfast, nothing special. The first morning their pancake machine was broken. No waffles :( I don't use housekeeping on short stays, so i only put trash and used towels outside expecting new towels when we get back to our room, but that didn't happen. I could've probably asked for clean towels if really needed. However, this being small city all of this was fine... until I saw cockroach the second night ... this was around 10 pm and I went to a reception straight away. Employee that worked that night said he would let manager know... there was no offer of changing rooms or doing anything else. I slept with lights on that night and we checked out in the morning. (I did check my bags and when we got back home i did laundry right away, washed everything including jackets and shoes and cleaned suitcases and purses the best i could) There was no mention of this issue during check out either. Please check your receipt too. Not sure why they charged me during checkout - this was packaged deal. I have yet to call them to discuss. This was my third vusit to Gatesville and first stay at Holiday Inn. In the future, I will go back to prevuois hotel I used and will not stay at Holiday Inn. Attaching photos of bug i saw... I tried to kill it but it fell down and run under the fridge. Yuck.

  The front staff were great and the service was outstanding. The location close to North Fort Hood was really convenient.

  This hotwl was an absolute delight! The rooms were clean, bees were comfortable, the location was great, and the best part was the service. Lisa, in particular, was amazing. She warmly greeted me upon arrival and assisted me in putting my son on the reservation so he could get a key to the room when he arrived. She also was extremely helpful in suggesting local restaurants for dinner, Rancher was a great country cooking restaurant less than a half mile from the hotel. I will definitely be returning, should I pass through Gatesville again.
