  The staff is very professional and friendly breakfast was delicious I got the beautiful ocean view to my room but the only thing I was mad about was someone broken the elevator and I had to go down three flights of stairs praying I don't fall with a bad knee

  Stayed one night at Holiday Inn Express in Galveston, TX with my daughter in a king room with a balcony. Overall, the room itself was comfortable and well-equipped. It included essentials like shampoo and conditioner, along with a microwave and mini fridge, which was convenient. The breakfast in the morning was also pretty decent with a good variety. There were a few downsides. The doors tend to slam loudly, which made it a bit noisy at times. It was also somewhat difficult to gain entry into the building, and the exits were inconsistent and a little confusing to navigate. I stayed at a discounted rate, and for that price, it was worth it. However, I would likely not pay full price to stay here again. On a positive note, my daughter absolutely loved the pool, which was definitely a highlight of our stay.

  We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location truly couldn’t be better—being right across the street from the seawall made everything so convenient and enjoyable. We loved being able to walk straight out and enjoy the views anytime. What really stood out to us was how incredibly kid-friendly the atmosphere is. Traveling with kids can sometimes be stressful, but this place made it feel easy and welcoming from start to finish. A very special thank you to Ms. Mackey, the manager—she was absolutely phenomenal with our kids. It meant so much to see her go above and beyond to connect with them and make them feel special. That kind of care and genuine effort doesn’t go unnoticed, and it truly made our stay memorable. We love her! We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this hotel to families looking for a great, welcoming place to stay.

  Got this hotel last minute because we were staying here to visit a family member that was air flown to a hospital and was in the ICU near by. We were under enough stress to say the least and the customer service in this hotel made it much worse. Joyce was a pain to deal with. I went to the front and purchased some drinks, waited there for at least 10 minutes while she talked and barely touched the system to check me out. Didn’t greet me, didn’t say a word other than my total. Second time around I asked her if they had a bandaid because I needed one and she just said “no” with a nasty attitude and kept staring at me like it was my turn to talk. Such a nasty attitude and made this trip even worse. We weren’t there for a vacation or to catch a cruise. We were paying customers that had to stay for a week and were treated very poorly by her. The rooms were fine but by day 5 the a/c wouldn’t go lower than 74. It was an extremely frustrating situation staying here above all other circumstances. The next time we had to come see our family staying in the hospital we just got an Airbnb because this was all too much. Don’t recommend.

  I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent stay. While we enjoyed the ocean-front room and the pool, several maintenance and service issues made our experience frustrating. During a windy night, the main access door created a loud, persistent whistling sound that prevented my family from sleeping. When we reported this, the front desk claimed other rooms were experiencing the same issue; however, other guests I spoke with noted their rooms were quiet. Upon inspection, the weather stripping appeared brittle and poorly maintained. We had to place towels in the door crevices to dampen the noise, an issue that could have been avoided with better preventative maintenance. Additionally, I encountered a discrepancy regarding your advertised amenities. Although a sign in the bathroom indicated that shaving kits could be delivered to the room, the front desk informed me I had to pick one up in the lobby. This was particularly difficult as I am currently recovering from a foot injury that makes walking painful. I am sharing this as constructive feedback to help improve the guest experience.
