  Wow what can I say about this place except absolutely fantastic. Received a call from Dee the day before checking on things. I honestly have to say never received a call like that before. Got there and got to meet Dee and she was so kind, got us into a beautiful room early. Her kindness shines through and so appreciated. Short walk to cruise terminal or shuttle. After cruise had to go say hi again to Dee and she remembered us and graced us with her kindness. If you want a great stay and staff that truly cares come to this place. We will definitely be back here.

  This hotel is class with the added bonus of the perfect location. I'd definitely stay here again. Free bikes, all the staff are extremely polite. Rooms are large and clean with gorgeous views.

  DEE DEE DEE! She is a GEM! This hotel is a perfect spot in the Strand. It is located on the water and nestled between three high rated restaurants. Within a few blocks there are many breweries, bars and pubs. If you are cruising, this is a great spot to stay the night before. This hotel has its own parking lot so you don’t need to find another parking lot.

  We had roaches living under the shower my wife woke up in middle of night and saw three baby roaches in the bathroom and saw them run back under the shower They offer shuttles to the Disney cruise we were sold a shuttle ticket for 1:15 the bus showed up at 1:00 on the dot we started unloading the car at that point because we have a 4 and 3 year old and the place they make you wait is on the street unsafe for kids at 1:03 the bus left and didn’t return we were forced to get a uber. When went to ask the lady at front desk if the bus was coming back which at that point was 1:15 she proceeded to argue with me that she told me to be ready for 1 which she did say the bus shows up at 1 not that you will be left if your not standing there with your thumb up and she sold a ticket that had a written time of 1:15

  This may have been a 5 star review if I had actually been permitted to stay in the room that I prepaid $297 for. After a long drive, I received a call from a Harbor House hotel clerk asking if I still planned on staying there that night. I told him I was 10 minutes away. He said that they were oversold. He didn’t apologize but said they found me a room at another hotel and that Harbor House would cover the charges. I took that to mean that my room would be comped. That isn’t an unreasonable interpretation as decent hotels will frequently comp the first night at another hotel if they overbook. I was sent to the San Luis Resort. It was a perfectly nice hotel but the entire point of booking at Harbor House was to be walking distance from the cruise port. San Luis Resort is about a 15 minute drive. I wasn’t looking for a resort experience; I was arriving late at night and just wanted to sleep, wake up early to see the ships sailing in, and walk to the port. First, they should never have oversold my prepaid room. It appears to be a regular occurrence there based on my conversations with the staff. Once they did decide to sell my prepaid room to someone else, they should have clearly told me that I would still be responsible for the $297 charge while they booked me into a hotel of their choice. I would have insisted on a refund instead and found my own cheaper accommodation. I did email the general manager and she gave me a $100 refund but wouldn’t budge on the full refund. It seems like a nice enough property if you actually get to stay there. Unfortunately, the government does not extend the same rights to hotel guests that they do to airline passengers who are involuntarily bumped so it doesn’t look like I have much recourse. Make sure to advocate for yourself ahead of time if you find yourself in the same situation as me.
