  We just finished a 6 night stay. I was enticed by a great price and a history of HIE hotels being fairly basic but acceptable. Had i read the reviews, I would have made a different choice. We arrived about 8:30 pm after a long travel day. 1st room we were given, wrong type (FD admitted they gave us wrong room). 2nd room, deadbolt didn't work. 3rd room light fixtures broken, blinds shredded and room had a bright street light right outside. Back to broken deadbolt room with a promise it would be fixed the following day. Made a 2nd request for deadbolt. It was not fixed and zero communication the entire 6 day stay. Agree with previous reviews.....this place is a hot mess .... doesn't look old, but has been ridden hard! The night FD staff seems to be teenagers that sit in the lobby on their phones or computers and only come to the desk if prompted. We were told after our 1st night fiasco we would be getting a 20% discount on our stay. Upon checkout, there was no mention of this. When we pressed, we were given about a $20 discount on our SIX night stay. We will happily go back to the Marriott that is 50% more expensive. Well worth it.

  Hmmmm where to start , only 1 elevator worked go above 3rd floor something hits the side of elevator, room was a mess from construction to cleaning i write notes on mirrors with my finger only shows up if the shower is on , I stayed 5 days I left 5 notes , just to see if maids actually clean the rooms , all 5 was there when I left , found trash behind the sofa when I got there .

  The elevator was broken on one side and the side that was working had broken tiles on the floor and made horrible sounds going up and down. When it would get close to stopping it would make a loud bang and the door took forever to open. Even the ladies working the desk said they don’t use the elevator cause it’s scary. The door to our room had to be pulled shut or it wouldn’t latch. Fridge in the room was filthy inside. The shower curtain had stuff on it that I had to wash off. At breakfast the eggs were runny and cold. The sausage was cold and not fully cooked. The pancake machine and juice machines were both broken.

  Room was not ready at 4pm for check in had to switch. Then new room door didn't close correctly or lock, Manager was rude and unhelpful will not be staying here agail

  Great location for our needs. Our clothes felt damp though. A/C ran and kept it cool enough, but wasn’t clearing the humidity. Our shower had a constant drip—finally laid a washcloth over the handle to catch the water and reduce the noise. And a sulphur/sewer smell every time we opened the door upon returning to the room—we think it was the sink drain as someone else in our party noticed it in her room as well. Elevator made some godawful noises!🫤 Great breakfast! Nice seating areas. Room was clean and a nice sized room. Large pillows, which was great. Overall, a great hotel in Forney.
