Hotel nuevo en muy buen estado, tv nuevas, camas cómodas, desayuno continental. Alrededor hay centro comercial y comida. Me agrado mucho.

This hotel is nice, with friendly and helpful staff who told me the hotel had been finished or opened I think in August. I'm not sure how well built it is because for one thing it doesn't look that way, for another the shower door hinges we're already coming out of the wall on the inside of the shower in the room we stayed.

There was a gun discharge in the hallway during my sleep!!!
The hotel is new and looks modern, but unfortunately my overall experience was not pleasant.
At check-in, the front desk employee was not rude, but extremely indifferent and unwelcoming, the rest of the staff was more friendly. The hotel’s newness helps its appearance, and at first glance the room did not look dirty; however, I found long hairs on the floor that were clearly not mine. The floor also had an unpleasant color and smell, as if it had been mopped with dirty water or a dirty mop. I also saw several staff members doing very good and detailed deep cleaning to halls, walls and elevators.
Room size is smaller than average for the city, though acceptable for a quick one- or two-night stay for no more than two people. The bed, however, was very clean and EXCEPTIONALLY comfortable.
The most serious issue occurred during my first night around 3:30 a.m. Two individuals began fighting in the hallway directly outside my room and near the elevator. What started as yelling and physical fighting escalated to a single gunshot. Thankfully no one was injured as far as I knew, but it was an extremely stressful and frightening situation, and I was unable to sleep afterward. Police did arrive and addressed the situation.
I understand that incidents like this can be outside the hotel’s direct control and may reflect a larger systemic issue, but I still believe there are preventative measures that could help, such as key-card access for elevators to limit access to guest floors and if they were guests I hope the hotel policy was applied, evicted and reported to the authorities.
The on-duty General Manager, Julianna Myers spoke with me, she was very professional all things considered and offered help, her deeply apologies and reassured that it was safe again (anything but a refund or relocation to another IHG property)
Overall, I would not describe this as a pleasant or secure stay, and I would not be interested in staying here again.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. If you decide to go here, be prepared to be double charged: one charge when booking online, which will disappear in 10 business days, and another at check-in. In my case, I paid with a debit card and only had enough balance for the first charge. When I arrived at the hotel and the second charge hadn't gone through, Bobby, the front desk manager, told me that if I didn't pay the second charge, he couldn't check me in. After driving for 10 hours with my wife and two children, raining at 8 pm, the front desk manager told me he wouldn't provide service even though I had already paid the first charge. I had to call IHG corporate to intervene because this guy wanted to leave me to sleep on the street. Fortunately, after almost an hour of talking to them, they convinced him to let me stay with a single charge of $145.
I will be sure to tell my friends, coworkers, neighbors, and family about the horrible experience I had at the Avid Hotel in El Paso and the terrible service from Bobby, the front desk manager, fortunately, we have dozens of different options to stay near of Cielo Vista mall and airport; I will never stay here again.
