- MBMary Catherine BartkowskiNov 19, 20251.0Absolutely Disgusting – Do Not Stay Here Holiday Inn Dumas, TX was one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever walked into. 1)The pool water was dark green with a thick film floating on top. 2)A coffee spill sat in the lobby while staff stepped around it and kept chatting—no sign, no cleanup. 3)The ice machine leaked all over the hallway. A guest put down a towel because employees didn’t bother. 4)In the breakfast area, a guest reported a juice spill and every worker just sat there. Nobody moved. 5)Staff were more focused on eating breakfast and talking than cleaning tables or helping guests. 6)The floors were filthy—my socks turned grey. 7)And the absolute deal-breaker: the toilet had dried, crusted feces smeared near the handle when I went to shower. Completely unsanitary and unacceptable. 8)the workers don’t greet you as you walk in. 9)we went to pay and they gave us the wrong room!!! To pay for - how does that even happen??? Military families and anyone passing through: keep driving. This place is not maintained, not cleaned, and not worth the risk. Photos attached.

Our first room we were given did not even have a window shade to keep the parking lot lights out. The room that we stayed in would not really keep the room cool, but we stayed anyway. The beds were very nice as usual. But there were lots of things in the bathroom that were not cleaned properly and there was not a mat for getting out of the shower. But the worst part was the unprofessionalism in the dining area this morning. And the whole dining area was filled with flies. Many tables were dirty. Overall just not up to Holiday Inn standards.
