  The staff is friendly and accommodating, but this hotel is very small and dark. The pictures are misleading online. This is not a relaxing, luxury hotel. The lobby, the restaurant, the hallway and rooms, they’re all super tight and very dark / low lighting. I felt extremely claustrophobic and we ended up leaving and going to a different hotel. I wish the photos online were more transparent to the vibe and small size of the hotel.

  For those using Amex FHR, beware that Gratuities and Taxes on your meals you order don't count towards you $100 credit. It's an incredibly petty way to "thank" booking this way. I did have a fruit tray and water in my room upon arrival. I've also never experienced anything like this pettiness in other Amex FHR's. Besides this, hotel was in great shape.

At Stillwell’s, Ozzy brought an engaging charm to our evening, guiding us through impeccable recommendations that made our celebratory dinner truly unforgettable. Each morning at Leonie’s was equally amazing, made all the more special by Jessie, whose genuine kindness and attentiveness turned breakfast into a daily highlight. Her presence left such an impression that we found ourselves looking forward to seeing her again with each new day. And at Pomelo’s, Katie and Sarah went above and beyond, surrounding us with care and thoughtful touches that made our mini-honeymoon feel truly exceptional. If you are simply searching for a place to stay, there are many options. But if you seek an experience, one defined by elegance, intention, and remarkable hospitality— look no further than Hotel Swexan. You will leave not only fulfilled, but already dreaming of your return to Dallas.

  I had to take a moment to recognize two exceptional valets at Hotel Swexan, Roger and Arnold. They truly made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, they were warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. What stood out most was how attentive and genuine they were — not just doing their job, but going above and beyond to make guests feel taken care of. Roger and Arnold were quick, efficient, and handled everything with such a positive attitude and kindness. It’s rare to encounter service that feels this effortless yet so thoughtful. They made every arrival and departure smooth and pleasant, and they remembered details that made us feel like valued guests rather than just another car pulling up. Hospitality like this is what sets a luxury hotel apart, and these two represent the very best of what Hotel Swexan offers. If management sees this, Roger and Arnold deserve major recognition. They are absolute stars and a huge asset to the hotel. Thank you both for making our stay even more special.
