The front desk staff were very rude to my daughter when she was checking into the hotel. Her father had reserved and paid for the hotel stay. When she arrived to check in, the front desk needed a security deposit, but the front desk agent would not allow the security deposit to be charged to the card that was on file. Additionally, the agent wouldn’t allow my daughter to call her parents so that we could give permission to use the same card again, or add a second card to the room. There was no issue with the card, it wasn’t being declined. He just would not charge it. Ultimately another member of the party had to use their credit card to pay for the security deposit. Yes, they will get the money back and that’s not the point of this review, the point is that the front desk agent was rude, belittling, impatient, and made the whole situation embarrassing for my daughter and the friends that were with her. It was uncalled for.

My room had already been paid for in advance by my father, but upon arrival I was told I needed to pay a $100 security deposit. While I understand deposits are standard, I asked if the person who booked and paid for the room could handle it, and was told no without any clear explanation or willingness to help find a solution. Additionally, both my partner and I were asked for IDs in a way that felt excessive and uncomfortable, especially given that the room was already fully paid. The interaction came across as unnecessarily suspicious rather than standard procedure. Overall, the lack of professionalism and poor customer service at check-in made the experience frustrating. I hope management addresses how guests are treated, especially during arrival, as first impressions matter.

Overall, I would reccomend going somewhere else. You have to pay $18/day for parking with no validation option. You have to pay for breakfast but pretty bad quality all around. Theres ongoing renovations, which they dont tell you about until you arrive. So the lobby is dirty, its loud, and one of the elevators is for construction only. Despite this, youre still paying full price. Theres literally 1 communal microwave for the entire hotel. Gym is your typical hotel gym (it sucks).

I had such a great stay at Hotel Indigo Dallas and will definitely be staying here again whenever I’m in town. Because of the outstanding stays I’ve had at Hotel Indigo in New York for work, I’ve really grown to love this brand, and this location was no exception. The location was perfect — I was within walking distance of so many great restaurants, fun places to hang out, and of course my office, which made the whole trip incredibly convenient and enjoyable. What really stood out to me was the service. Devin was an amazing concierge — kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient, especially when my corporate card didn’t charge my stay correctly. He handled everything with such professionalism and made a stressful situation so much easier. More than that, he always made me feel genuinely welcome, which made a big difference during my stay. My room was also super clean, which I always appreciate, and overall the hotel felt comfortable, convenient, and very well cared for. I truly enjoyed my experience here and would absolutely recommend Hotel Indigo Dallas to anyone visiting the area. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Dallas.

Arriving at a hotel at 2:30 in the morning after a long flight, with multiple delays and total exhaustion, should have one simple reward: a ready room and a bed to rest. At Hotel Indigo Dallas Downtown, the reality was quite the opposite. Our stay had been booked and fully paid for months in advance. However, upon arrival, the receptionist —whose name started with M— informed us that, due to a supposed “technical update,” they could not give us our room. Whether this explanation is true or not, what is completely unacceptable is that we were not warned in advance, especially when the hotel advertises a 24-hour check-in service. What followed made the situation even worse: we were left waiting for nearly 40 minutes at 3:00 a.m., in a city we do not know, completely exhausted after our journey. It is incomprehensible that, with a confirmed reservation made months ago, the hotel did not have a room ready for guests whose late arrival was entirely foreseeable. The lack of professionalism did not end there. When I asked to file a complaint, the receptionist refused to provide contact details for a manager or supervisor, which only increased the feeling of helplessness and poor customer service. To make matters worse, the situation continued the next day: we left the room at 9:00 a.m., and when we returned at 11:00 p.m., we found that the room had not even been cleaned. A basic service —the absolute minimum expected from any hotel— was simply not provided, especially after such a disappointing experience. In short, poor management, lack of foresight, inadequate customer care, and a complete absence of solutions. An experience far below what one would expect from a hotel of this category, and certainly not one I would recommend.
