0 STARS! Please don't stay here! I don't write reviews often but if it’s a ver bad experience i will. First, upon arriving the location is in a very sketchy area but cool the outside didn't matter. Upon arriving i had to pay for parking so i did. Got to the front desk everything went smooth including the larking situation. I got a parking pass and 2 room keys. Here is where everything went wrong. We got to our room where upon opening the door a foul odor of marijuana hit us. Just to the eye we could see water dripping from the ceiling, cracked windows and marijuana on the counter. No telling if the rooms were actually cleaned. We identified the leaking problem quickly which was caused by sweating pipes/leakage through rusting pipes. That water quickly forming in the carpet that soaks it in and created the moldy smell in the room as well. My friend being asthmatic couldnt stay in that room for that reason alone. Secondly, the windows were cracked with only clear packaging tape covering on top of it. And finally the marijuana on top of the countertop. We knew this room wasnt cleaned out properly as there was marijuana on top of the counter visible. No telling if sheets or anything was cleaned in the room. So we knew we couldnt stay in that room. We picked up our things as we were in there no more than 10 minutes connecting and messaging over pictures and proof of poor room quality to our booking agency EXPEDIA. We were told the hotel would authorize a refund once we speak to the front desk. We made our way down where the same two people (female and a male) at the front desk were. We explained our situation as told us no problem we should be good to go. I assured them everything is good and will be taken care of in terms of a refund with a thumb up to confirm. They replied with yes as im sure its all on camera. Nothing else was mentioned at all, they dismissed me quickly. Fast foward to now they have made mutliple lies and claims. First that i was a no show, i quickly disproved that with the pictures i had of the room. Secondly they said they would get the manager to call me back during normal business hours. I waited but got the hint they only said it to get me off the line. Then i got a claim that i dined in at their restaurant i guess to try and prove i stayed there longer. I had proof i didnt. Same promise was made multiple times that i will be getting a call. I patiently waited for a couple days then i returned the call asking for the manager directly but stated she was busy like all the times ive called. So i waited on the line for about 45 minutes when finally got to speak with her. The funny part is now they are claiming i didnt give any time to solve this situation when i was in person which is funny because i was never mentioned this on the phone or in person. So i dont know if im supposed to read their minds or how i wouldve figured that out or theyve just thought of a way to deny my refund. There is more to this story but at the end i never got my refund. PLEASE STAY AWAY! BAD EXPERIENCE, ROOM, AND EVEN WORSE BUSINESS PRACTICES!

My stay was on New years Eve this year. The location was great for a staycation to celebrate the new year. Unfortunately the whole place needs a remodel. My local motel 6 looked better than the room we got. There was mold on the shower ceiling that they tried to paint over. The bathtub looked like it was peeling from a bad sunburn with all the missing paint. The wallpaper of the room is starting to lift up all around the room. The toilet had to be flushed a certain way which we found out with trial and error. Even the small details like making sure the air filter fit properly but I might be nitpicking with all the other issues. The room it self was nice with the balcony giving us a great view of the city. The bed was comfortable and all the standard amenities were good. There was an issue with the elevators so the wait to get to your room was 10 minutes, which was a slight annoyance. Over all for the price it’s not the worst thing but don’t expect much in terms of presentation/ cleanliness.

Despite some negative reviews, my stay at this hotel was completely fine ✅ It’s a typical mid-range U.S. hotel—friendly front desk staff, a working (if a bit noisy) elevator, and a basic gym 💪 There are many homeless people nearby, but I felt safe walking alone 🚶‍♂️ If you want to avoid them, use Akard Station instead of West End 🚉 Breakfast was standard, and the staff checked drinks often ☕🥐 My only minor issue was a slow deposit refund with a prepaid card, so I’d recommend a regular credit card 💳 With a direct train from DFW and the JFK Museum within walking distance 🏛️, this hotel is a convenient, affordable, and perfectly reasonable choice. I’d definitely recommend it! 🌟

Will NOT be staying here again. When we arrived, we spoke with the hotel staff about using the parking garage and the in/out access that the website states we have as guests. We were told just to enter the garage, park, and take the elevator up. We got the garage parking ticket, went up, and when we were driving out to dinner, we were told we had to pay the fee for the few hours we had been parked. When I asked about the in/ out access, they stated that there is a pass the front desk needs to give for that. Something they did NOT mentioned at check-in when we asked about it. They would not do anything to compensate the fee we had to pay. Our room also would NOT go down in temperature. It was hot all night, we didn't even use the comforter. We asked for maintenance to come. By midnight, nobody had arrived, and when I called the desk again I was told that they expected me to switch rooms at that time cause they couldn't get ahold of maintenance. I also paid for a king bed, and we were given a queen. The room smelled funky, things were rusted and eroded in the bathroom, the shower and sink drain were so clogged we didn't even want to shower in it. Front desk guy didn't seem to care at all and just kept telling me, oh well the manager will be here Monday if you want to call back. Do NOT stay here!

This hotel earns 2 stars due to several issues that affected the overall stay. The room was very outdated, and the bathroom had multiple problems. The toilet barely flushed, and the bathroom door was difficult to open, to the point where it felt like getting stuck inside. Additionally, the in-room coffee maker did not work, which was disappointing. Although the hotel advertises room service, guests were informed that it is only available for dinner and not breakfast, which felt misleading. There was also a strong smell of marijuana throughout the property, which detracted from the experience and did not align with expectations for a higher-rated hotel. One positive aspect was a balcony upgrade, which was a nice touch. For the price, the stay was about what one might expect; however, the hotel being marketed as a 4-star property is misleading. A 3-star classification would be far more accurate and would better match the condition of the rooms and overall experience. Overall, the stay was acceptable but did not meet the standards suggested by its rating.
