- BABrandon AustinJan 3, 20262.0As soon I walked into the hotel I could smell mold and mildew and my room smelled even worse. By time I left my airways were restricted. I spent the next 3 days feeling like I was going to die. That was the 28th of December, it is now the 3rd of January and it’s still hard for me to breathe. They need to have their ventilation system fully cleaned and disinfected. The feel like I might have gotten legionella. Water pressure was horrible and straight rust came out of the shower and tub faucets when I turned them on. It went clear after a few seconds but still. Other than that, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. That being said, I am a diamond elite member and have been for several years but I think I’m going to change my loyalty. Too many IHG hotels that either smell, don’t do room service daily or the trash is always full so can’t clean out the rental car before returning it and most hotels don’t have very good water pressure despite having holiday inns advertised shower heads that are supposed to make you feel like you’re showing in heaven.
