- AHAimee HivelyAug 25, 20251.0If you’re looking for an accessible room I would suggest you call to discuss your needs prior to booking. My husband and I requested an accessible room with no other requests. When we opened the door and went inside we were impressed by how large the room was. It would have been better if most of the room wasn’t carpeted, but it was doable. Just takes a lot more strength to roll wheelchair across carpet. Then looking at the bed, it’s a good bit higher than a wheelchair so it would be challenging to transfer from wheelchair to the bed. Then the bathroom. While it’s a nice sized bathroom, you can’t get your wheelchair in and close the door so you have no privacy. The toilet was not ADA height and the grab bars were useless. I could get on the toilet by myself but could not get off the toilet by myself. There’s a nice soap and lotion dispenser at the sink but it’s at standing height. You can’t reach it from a wheelchair. There was no shower seat in the bathtub but there were grab bars. And once again the soap dispenser was not at a height you could reach if you were seated.
