  The staff are great. Breakfast was better than most. I was only here two days but will stay again if working near here.

  Made an honest mistake when making a reservation. In seconds I realized what I had done. Although I am still staying at another Holiday Inn property in Mo. This Texas property denied to cancel my reservation. Again, the mistake was caught immediately. Guess they need revenue at this particular branch. Dissatisfied customer in Mo.

  To Upper Management: During the recent ice storm in Carthage, Texas, my family (five people, including my father with medical needs) and two small children, sought refuge in your hotel after losing power for two days . We were grateful—until we were falsely accused of our dogs urinating and defecating in the room. This accusation was completely untrue. The only incident was a hot cocoa spill, which we would have gladly addressed—yet we were charged $200. Despite multiple family members confirming there were no such messes, your staff was confrontational. A cleaning staff member argued with us, and the manager was rude to both my husband (who booked the room) and myself. We even intended to extend our stay for my father’s dialysis needs, but this experience left us feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I urge upper management to review how disputes and damage charges are handled, especially in situations where families are relying on you during emergencies. If every mother toting around children and dogs has to worry about their kids leaving snack stains or anything like that and being accused of dog messes on a duvet cover then we should be weary to do ALL the cleaning before we leave the room. Our home had electric tonight but I was weary it may still cut out as it had been touch And go. I needed the hotel so my father could complete dialysis treatment tonight. I needed them because I was worried for my dads wellbeing. My dogs are very well house trained and never make messes. We travel often and this has never happened. According to the GM if this hot coco stain was such a Hangup then every hotel I’ve ever stayed at and washed the makeup off my face should also contact me for retribution… because makeup is harder to get out than food stains. (Any mom can tell you that). I was careful to let my dogs out frequently, as can probably be seen on their cameras…. If not I have plenty of camera footage on my phone. The GM also threatened to take away my husband’s diamond awards…. Meanwhile his patrons are falling, spraining joints, possibly fracturing bones outside while he is cozy in his office. I am just posting this because I’m a mom. I’m on my own most of the time. I have an ailing father I take care of. Two kids, and no help. I don’t want any other mothers to fall subject to this very obvious scam. If they see you walk in with dogs or kids they may look for an excuse to charge you $200 or $250 … probably and especially if you use points. I’ve include recording from some of the conversation with the GM, and footage of the rooms we left after using our points on today around 5:30ish (all points will be lost, but we couldn’t stay when they made us feel that way) so that they cannot further charge us for damages. The front staff lady was amazing and most of the cleaning staff are phenomenal. Unfortunately one very young cleaning lady and one disgruntled GM did us in. This use to be where we would sending family that visits… no more after this.
