Panola county was under a declared emergency from a severe ice storm. Many families sought refuge in this hotel, spending what little funds they had to ensure shelter and warmth in a time of need. Instead of the hotel being a part of the community they service they decided it would be the perfect opportunity to take advantage of their customers by charging unwarranted cleaning fees to make a profit off of a natural disaster. Instead of communicating and rectifying the situation they forced the customers with complaints to leave and back into the conditions they were seeking relief from. They do not care about the well being of the paying customers and have no intention to carry out their job responsibilities. When asked if the cleaning staff could confirm if the fee was necessary the general manager stated “they have no way of knowing the difference” so neither the cleaning staff nor the general manager is willing to investigate a situation that occurred failing to do their job.

- DDDeeDec 7, 20253.0I had checked in this hotel for a couple days. I have a habit when I go into any hotel to spray it down with Lysol so as I was spraying the bed pillows I had saw a blood stain. I pulled the sheets back and found blood spots on the sheets. I had told the front desk the had someone to come change the sheets for me. I asking if they had another room and she said no.
