(You get, what you give) My mom was in the wrong, I acknowledged that, she smoked to close to the side door trying to stay out of the rain. But what I don't appreciate and went to have a conversation with Missy about, is that when my mom said "huh" to her, because she is 75% deaf in both ears and did not have her hearing aids in, Missy repeated she couldn't be close to the door and pointed to a sign and said comprende. Like I said I acknowledged my mom was in the wrong and I was trying to explain my mom's hearing condition, but Missy became defensive and immediately gave attitude. The only thing I was upset about being an overprotective daughter is someone treating my mom like she is stupid. Hard of hearing people aren't stupid, they say huh or what did you say alot because they just don't hear you. Missy's instant defensive attitude and her getting loud at me told me all I needed to know about her behavior towards my mom. Matching energy is something I am prone to doing, but I let her have her attitude, noted her name and went back to the room and decided to jot everything down at 2 something in the morning on 11/20/2025. Also note, I did not witness this encounter and my mom told me not to mention it to the lady, but as stated before I am over protective and felt like I should let the staff member know my mom just didn't hear her and her comment "comprende" was uncalled for.
