I had a bad experience here, mostly because of management/service.
Good: the hotel was clean, and the bed comfortable.
Bad:
Minus 1 star: The windows are thin, which is bad because Texas Ave is very loud - apparently lots of race cars!
Minus 1 star: The A/C sounded like a jet engine when it turned-on.
Minus 2 stars: Management is more concerned about covering their arse rather than customer service and solving problems. My problem was related to Expedia, not the hotel, and the manager (who had no customer orientation at all) was unable to help us reach a win-win solution.

We had a very good stay here. The hotel staff was friendly, the pool was clean and cold, and the bedrooms were very clean. We had the whole hotel to ourselves the 1st 2 nights and felt safe. Its down the street from a a lot of restaurants and HEB’s. Staying here again next week.

December 2023. Safe place to book if you want a clean and comfortable stay. It’s nice but not an upscale or new hotel or anything. Customer service was very accommodating! My TV wasn’t working and they just moved me, no questions asked. You can tell they have upgraded some things but still lots to improve on. Towels are old and rough. Bathrooms still outdated. TVs are small and old. Gym is in construction and in 4 days of my stay, there was no work being done. No water provided during stay. I also stayed at hotel across the street and they gave 2 bottles of water when you checked in and it was $20 cheaper (though room was much smaller and the hotel was older). The room here was spacious and their breakfast was simple but surprisingly tasty! I would recommend this place but you’ll need to spend more for a “nicer and modern” hotel or if you’re like me and not a nagging prick, you could spend less and get another budget hotel and get the exact same experience.
