  The staff is great (so far). The hotel itself looks beat down. Everything is stained, from couches in the lobby, the hallway walls, any carpet, and event the built in desks and furniture in the room. The mini fridge has power and is cool but not necessarily cold. The leftovers I am saving for tomorrow might be suss by then. Haven't figured out the smell, stale, faint smoked in odor lingering, maybe some mildew, not sure. Holiday Inn Express is my family's preferred or go to hotel while traveling. The staff have been amazing but the actual hotel is a hot mess. The building isn't even 10 years old. It looks like something I would expect in the first 8-12 months of a dystopia apocalypse.

  So this is a mixed review. Upon arriving I was greeted by Shawn at the front desk. Shawn Is absolutely 100% professional. He even assisted me with I seen that I was handicapped in the ice machine was on the second floor. This is true customer care. Good morning Breakfast. Coffee has a horrible after taste. Not all components of the breakfast are ready at 6 o’clock. The pancake machine is a hit or miss. Today it was a total miss. It didn’t work. Additionally, there’s no regular pancake syrup, Sugar-free only. There’s no honey available to use a substitute. Grape jam is only jam available no strawberry not even mixed fruit available. Buffet line ran out of bacon. It was sometime before additional bacon was provided. If you want oatmeal, you have to use the hot water tank. That’s beside the stand for your oatmeal. The lid is off the top of the hot water tank. Someone could easily tamper with the hot water. And the water doesn’t get hot enough for the oatmeal.

  The room smelled extremely bad of urine. By the time it came before it was too much my son had already showered and climed in bed. Other guest were extremely loud all night long, which is always great for a good nights rest. Also hoping my my vehicle is still in the same shape it was when we got here or just there for that matter, not exactly in the nicest area. I’ll continue to stay in holiday inns just not this one.
