- SDSteve DlugasJan 29, 20265.0We were on our way back to Temple. It was getting dark and the roads were starting to ice over again. Didn't want to chance it. The staff was great the room nice. Holiday Inn really does a good job with breakfast. When I travel alone I stay at cheaper places but my wife was with me she doesn't like cheap places. Years ago we stayed in a cheap motel back in the 90’s and she got ringworm on her foot. In 2026 she still never lets me forget. But in all honesty you get what you pay for. The Holiday Inn is more expensive but it really is better. We enjoyed the stay.

The breakfast was probably the best we’ve had at any Holiday Inn Express. Alissa was wonderful in the restaurant area—very friendly and attentive. The lobby was beautiful, especially with the gorgeous Christmas tree and holiday decorations, and the entire property was spotless. We would definitely stay here again. I haven’t found another Holiday Inn Express that compares to how nice this one is.
