Had some friends (2 adults, 2 children under 3) come into town the weekend of valentine's day. They booked a room at the Hampton. The room was spacious and we were able to comfortably visit inside. They really enjoyed the breakfast ths next morning, and we all spent some time together at the indoor pool/hot tub. A great experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the bastrop area.
Good location and very clean comfortable rooms. I loved the pillows. Non refundable 75 dollar pet deposit for a 12 lb pug is a bit much but overall great place to stay.
Room was filled with sewage odor , still stayed because we made a long drive to get here and didn't arrive till 10pm , booked 2 nights so we could sleep in, was woke up at around 7am with the sound of construction above our room banging, drilling hammering ECT.. went downstairs to talk to front desk (turned out they were doing construction and never told any of the guests upon check in that they were even doing construction work! ) got half way through my complaint about the room odor and the construction noise and the fire alarm went off throughout the entire hotel and wouldn't turn off till the fire department showed up. Demanded a refund for the room and was told I would have to speak to a manager so I went back to the room and turns out the fire alarm in our room didn't even work... Waited and finally spoke to Heather the assistant manager and she refused to refund both nights even though we weren't even there but for 9 hours she refunded the second night and said she could not refund the first night and would have to call her manager ... Been trying to call the head manager all morning and haven't gotten an answer or call back yet! I do not recommend this establishment a motel 6 would be a better stay than here. They will be hearing from our attorney if we do not get a refund for this miserable stay as well as the safety hazards of a broken fire alarm and a headache from the sewer gas that leached into our room from open sewer drains venting into our room that was being plumbed by unlicensed handymen
Norma is a rock star. We were originally booked the weekend of January 25th, but with much of the State experiencing an ice storm, we needed to postpone. I had selected the semi-flexible option, and was past the itinerary modification date when the forecast turned so bad. I called the hotel first to see if we could postpone for a week. Because of the booking type, the front desk wasn't able to modify the reservation. Norma suggested I call the customer service line at Hilton. (they were completely unhelpful and basically said, "too bad".) Shortly after getting off the phone with the customer service line, Norma called me back and had a solution. After speaking with her GM, they were able to work around my booking type and reschedule us for the following weekend. Once we arrived the next weekend, this quickly became one of our very favorite hotels to stay at. Yes, there are renovations underway, but that didn't interfere with our stay. The friendliness of the entire staff was stellar. The hotel was super quiet. We were traveling with our dog, and at check-in received an envelope with a letter inside listing the 24 hour vet phone numbers, nearby boarding and grooming locations, pet friendly attractions, etc. Very helpful information to have. (that is a first to receive such information during a stay. Kudos to the GM for this). Everyone loved on our pup and gave him lots of attention. First class all the way around! Breakfast was good as always, staff was friendly and kept all the breakfast items well stocked. Just a great experience!! If you are going to be in the Bastrop area and need a place to stay, I highly recommend this Hampton Inn.
