The hotel feels quite dated in terms of both the building and the decor. However, the staff is very kind and friendly. The free airport shuttle is a big plus, both for pickup and drop-off, and it can even be booked last minute, which is very convenient.
The room was actually better than expected in terms of comfort, with a great king-size bed and a very practical alarm clock displaying the time. That said, a major downside is the presence of doors on both sides of the room connecting to neighboring rooms — it feels a bit unsettling, and you can clearly hear people coughing next door because of it.
Another negative point is being placed on the highway side: you can hear all the traffic at night, so the windows are definitely not well insulated, and the view isn’t great either.
On a more positive note, the pool looks nice, and the overall amenities are well thought out, such as extra towels for the pool and access to laundry facilities.
The area on the highway side doesn’t feel very safe, and it’s not really possible to walk back at night, especially since it runs along the road.

I really liked the charming, eclectic rooms. I'd much rather be in a hotel with real furniture instead of that modern cardboard junk. The rooms were clean and tidy, though they didn't seem to cool off well.
My greatest complaint is the bar and restaurant are being tended by ONE person. Getting served is stressful because the bartender/waiter is frantically trying to hold the bar. They are obviously well trained and conscientious workers, but it's too much for one person. I saw one server/bartender basically time out on a customer because they are understaffed and fearing repercussions if they leave the counter. They are clearly swamped, and everyone who was our server was an accommodating, friendly, professional about it, but I'm super mad that a hotel that's pretending to be so nice can't be bothered to adequately staff themselves. That's a corporate / management issue. Pay your staff, STAFF your bar and restaurant. Everyone at the front desks were also absolutely professional and obviously well trained. Corporate nonsense will dictate these people bear the brunt of a bad review, which is garbage cuz they are clearly doing their best with what pathetic resources they're given. They are clearly well trained, but that can't make up for not enough staff. I was just at a comparable hotel from IHG in San Antonio on the river a few months ago. And the difference is STARK.
I've been at hotels at a fraction of the cost with monumentally better coffee bars, too. They have a GD touch screen water dispenser by the bathrooms, but gas stations have better coffee bar options. No fresh dairy, just packaged creamers and no decaf.
Wonderful location. The river view is worth every penny to see the bats in the twilight that fly near your window if your lucky enough to spot em against that gorgeous lone star sky. The pool balcony is wonderful. I'd post a picture, but IHG is one of those companies where only THEY can post pics. Ridiculous. Do better. The gilded "luxury" on display here is hilarious. It wouldn't have left such a bad taste in my mouth if the hotel wasn't pretending so hard to be a luxury experience when they're missing so many crucial points of hospitality. Staff. Your. Restaurant.

Stayed for the MotoGP race at COTA. Rooms leave much to be desired. Old damaged furniture. Cracked tiles. Just a general state of disrepair. The WORST part of the stay was the shower. The water was luke warm with hot turned all the way on. Couldn't even enjoy a shower. Towels felt like sandpaper. And charging for breakfast has to be a joke. The food was terrible. I've had better breakfast food at other holiday inns where it was included for free. They have a tiny free parking garage for guests with easy access to elevators. Service was almost non existent. I saw one person on staff the whole time I was here but I didn't need anything. Locations is great right next to I35. And it's a good thing they put those mending plates with tiny little sheet metal screws to keep the neighbors out of my room. I felt so safe and secure. NOT! Would I come back here? Not with so many other choices in Austin. Did I get my money's worth? Not really.

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I checked in late Thursday evening, and as an IHG Rewards member, the front desk upgraded my room. Unfortunately, upon entering the room, I immediately noticed several issues. The wallpaper was peeling near the thermostat, and a door near the vents appeared to be improperly installed. Because I was exhausted and had an early meeting the next morning, I went to sleep.
The next morning, I woke up at 7:00 a.m. to prepare for my 8:00 a.m. meeting, only to discover that the shower had no hot water. I contacted the front desk, but by the time engineering arrived, I had already finished showering and needed to leave for my meeting. When I raised the issue with the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do and was advised to contact Tod, the hotel manager.
I called Tod on Friday and again on Saturday, but I never received a response. As I was checking out, the Engineering Manager informed me that the room should never have been available due to existing issues and instructed the front desk to immediately close it.
I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled, particularly by hotel management. Tod’s lack of response gives the impression that guest concerns are not a priority, which may explain the hotel’s low rating. I am still waiting for a call back.

IF YOU VALUE SAFETY DO NOT STAY HERE. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. My company booked accommodations here for a conference, and the experience was extremely disappointing, especially when it comes to safety.
On the very first night, my car was broken into in the hotel’s garage. I was told security would be increased, but that never actually happened. The individual they referred to as “security” turned out to be a shuttle driver, and there was no one actively patrolling the property. The garage gates were left wide open, and there were no cameras in place. To make matters worse, staff refused to escalate the situation or connect me with a manager.
Just two days later, a colleague, whose car was the same make and model as mine, also had her vehicle broken into. Her situation was even worse, involving smashed windows and stolen parts. Despite multiple incidents, no meaningful action was taken by the hotel to improve safety or reassure guests.
Beyond security concerns, the overall condition of the property was unacceptable. The hot water in our rooms was inconsistent, hallways were poorly maintained, and one of the elevators was out of service for the entire six-day stay.
This experience left me feeling unsafe and completely unsupported. The only response we received from staff was that they could “file an incident report,” which did nothing to address the situation in real time.
This location is in serious need of management intervention. I am frankly shocked it is still operating at this standard. I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances.
