Super friendly staff and great accommodations. Rooms are very quiet and pleasing. The beds are soft and comfortable and come fully equipped with a small kitchenette.

I am at the Austin, TX airport with a reservation at Staybridge Suites tonight. The hotel listing advertises a complimentary airport shuttle from 8 AM-8 PM. (Including a service that drives guests within a 5 mile radius during these hours). At 3:48 I called the property and the front desk associate informed me the shuttle stops running at 4 PM and will not come get me. I requested they cancel and refund my reservation based on the false information. She told me a manager can call me, but in the middle of the business day no manager is on the property and she cannot do that for me. Most of the conversation felt combative and her talking about points that were discussed three topics ago in the conversation. Ultimately, I had to escalate it to IHG who called the property and requested the refund. And I booked at another property.

The hotel is situated near major roads in Austin but is set back from the main streets, which made the rooms very quiet. There is a Buffalo Wild Wings directly across from the hotel, a movie theater in the parking lot, and several other restaurants within a ten-minute walk. We stayed in a king suite, and the room was very nice and clean. It featured a kitchen with a full-size fridge (which was great because we could do grocery shopping for our Austin housesit starting the next day), a small stove, a full microwave, and a dishwasher. There were plenty of dishes and silverware if you preferred to eat in the room. The bed was very comfortable, and IHG hotels always have four pillows on each bed—two firm foam pillows and two soft ones, giving you options. Breakfast was really good with many choices. There were pancakes you could make, omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, bagels and English muffins, blueberry muffins, yogurt with toppings, and oatmeal with toppings. I left my small travel pillow at the hotel when we checked out. I called later that day, gave them my room number and name, and asked if my pillow had been found. The desk clerk told me they would leave a note for housekeeping, and someone from the hotel would call me the next day. They called at 10:00 the following morning, confirming it had been found and asked how I wanted it returned. I told them we were still nearby and I would pick it up. They instructed me to just come to the front desk when I arrived. Later that afternoon, I went there. The desk clerk asked my name, room number, and the color of my travel pillow's case (to make sure it was mine), which I appreciated. They had wrapped it in plastic to keep it clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Austin.

I give it only 3 stars. Reason: there was a very strong smell coming from the elevator(smelled like burning plastic). When I enquiry into this, I was told they had new paneling installed. On the weekends they do not clean the rooms. As we left Saturday morning we our room cleaned that day. We were told by the front desk they don't clean the rooms on the weekend. It's not a bad place, just ok.

Run down and poorly maintained. I have the unshakable impression of a slum lord putting as little money back into a property as possible as he milks it for all it's worth. One of the rooms had an unbearable smell permeating the air, standing water under the sink from a leak, kitchen sink poorly propped up from below and falling off the counter top. Doorknob to bathroom had a broken return spring. Bedroom door would not latch. Next room we tried had a broken window frame stuffed with tissue paper to close the air gap and an overly noisy AC unit. Hallway ceilings texture and tape peeling from water damage. Soft spots in the 4th floor hallway floor. Easr stairwell had wet carpets on the ground floor and a moldy smell. Entire 4th floor has a chemical stink, as does the one functioning elevator. The dryers in the laundry room vent right into the room, filling the room with lint and wet warm air. Mold in clothes washing machine. Half the hallway ceiling lamps are bent or crooked. The repairs done to the building over time seemed like the amateur work done by someone cutting every corner they think they can get away with.
