This is a great hotel for this price point. This is a very good hotel, in general. While I write this review, the hotel is at 4.6 stars, and I'm surprised it's not higher. The rooms are really nice. Not fancy. But nice and clean and well kept. I worked with three front-desk staff. Each was super nice and pleasant and helpful and kind. The hotel staff in general were really nice. I was even in touch with their IT support folks. Again, super helpful. I had a special request with my stay. Yet again, super helpful and accommodating as much as possible. And with a smile. My company has spent sooo much more to have me stay at supposedly "nicer" hotels, and they didn't even come close to this. Highly recommended. And I really enjoyed some of the great and highly rated restaurants within a 3-minute walk.

Fantastic hotel. My family of 5 stayed for two nights and I think we've found a "home base" for when we're in Austin.
-excellent service. They seemed very attentive to accommodating guests.
-free lvl 2 EV charger ( it gives an error at first but will start charging.)
- nice rooms, feels nicer than a cheap hotel.
- excellent breakfast.
-free dinner! They had amazing food for the dinners (m, tu, wed only). It was more than enough for a full meal. Both nights they had the full salad bar in addition to the entres which were restaurant quality.
- right around the corner from Walnut Creek Park.
Several reviewers complained about roaches and feeling unsafe in this area. We didn't have any issues. The whole hotel is so clean I would have been surprised to see bugs.
As far as safety, we thought it felt like a perfectly safe part of town.

We had a 3 night stay here and it was cut short by cockroaches. Killed a cockroach at 11:15 at night so was sort of forced to stay since I was with my daughter. Called the front desk and they “took the towel” we killed the roach in. We left the next day and came back to another cockroach in the room. We left immediately and checked out and the front desk stated we wouldn’t be charged. We were charged for the first night so a broken promise. Avoid this place at all costs, there are so many great options other than here.

The hotel has terrible wifi and the TV sucks. I paid $300 for two nights. I didn’t think it was worth it if the wifi sucks and there was no usb ports. I do like them locking the front doors at a certain time and I like the amenities the hotel.

I honestly wouldn’t stay here again. The room I was in you had to constantly press the start button to start the microwave because it wouldn’t work properly. The ice maker knob was broken so you couldn’t turn it on. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were flatten. There should be more parking spaces at the front of the building. The button to control the room temperature you have to press it really hard for it to go up or down a degree. My charger/plug in the outlets kept falling out and wouldn’t stay in for long. Overall wasn’t satisfied & have stayed at much better Staybridge's.
