We had fantastic breakfast service by Ariana in Urban Pour, the restaurant downstairs of Hotel Indigo. Very attentive, great with our kids and helpful with any queries.

I travel quite often for my job, BUT I tend to avoid staying at any downtown hotel like the plague. However, I chose to step out of my comfort zone and try Hotel Indigo in Downtown Austin and fell in love. Completely changed my view of all the downtown headaches. First, the service is incredible and very attentive, love the Lavazza machine in the room. The restaurant had delicious burger and fries, would definitely recommend eating there at least once. Good exercise area and nice rooftop pool and bar area. It's no secret that Austin has a homeless issue (which I pray those in need receive help) but honestly the area did not have many like the reviews I had previously read. The doorman to the hotel was courteous and welcoming. The location is great for walking to local eateries like Stubb's across the street and others. My only suggestion is to add commentary somewhere regarding checking in with front desk to provide your license plate number if you order the parking fee when booking. I didn't know to do this (unless I somehow overlooked it) and unfortunately had issues exiting the parking garage each time and had to call for help. So those traveling, if you pay in advance for the parking garage be sure to give your info to the front desk. Thanks Hotel Indigo and your staff for an amazing stay and changing my perspective of downtown hotel stays!! I will definitely be back!

The hotel was decent but the headboard in our room was ripped and flaking off. In addition, I left a pair of really expensive pajamas in my room. I called back the same day I left and asked if I could have it shipped to me. They said yes, that they’d find them and call me back. I never heard from them again.

Based on direct, firsthand exposure to this property’s operations, there are significant safety, oversight, and billing concerns. The building experiences regular exterior loitering and inconsistent access control. Lack of preventative maintenance and security measures plague the property, and known infrastructure issues remain unresolved longer than is reasonable for a hotel in this price range. If it can't be patched with Scotch tape and bubblegum it likely won't be fixed. Overnight security responses tend to be confrontational rather than de-escalatory, increasing risk during otherwise manageable situations. This creates unpredictability for both guests and staff. There are also recurring billing and authorization errors. Routing and folio issues result in unnecessary or duplicate charges, extended authorizations, and guest disputes. These problems are known, documented, and repeatedly encountered, yet remain unfixed over time, placing the burden on guests to notice and resolve them. Frontline employees are generally professional and capable, but operate without sufficient managerial presence, consistency or timely corrective action. Incident documentation occurs; pattern correction does not. The result is an environment where adverse events feel systemic rather than accidental. Visually acceptable. Operationally deficient. Exercise caution when booking. Update: Thanks for your response crew. It might have meant something the first 10 times I raised these concerns but I'm sure you guys are working on it.... Best of luck to the staff, property and most importantly the guests! (They'll need it)
