We stayed in a King suite (myself, my husband and our 2 boys) and it was PERFECT. Didn’t know about the separate bathrooms -which we were very pleasantly surprised about- but then the bathroom within the “bedroom” even had separate SINKS! 🤌🏼 This room was wonderful! Comfortable bed in the bedroom —but the sofa bed could def use some work! Loved this layout, the streaming options on the tv, and service was great. Can’t wait to travel back!

I just wanted to say that I had such a wonderful time staying at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful like Nathan at the front desk. He went out of his way and above and beyond to help me place an order for my dinner. The room was beautiful, with super comfortable bed, the restaurant served delicious breakfast and dinner. Overall, This hotel deserves more than five stars. Thank you so much. I will definitely be returning. And I also love the convenience of it not being in the center of downtown Austin. It was very quiet and close to all the locations that I needed to go to. About 15 minutes away. I can’t wait for my next Austin trip so I can book with you guys again.

Stayed at the EVEN Hotel in North Austin from Thursday to Sunday, and honestly, I regret it. Right when we checked in, the room looked nice so I recorded a video to show friends and family. In that same video, you can clearly see the TV already had issues—lines running through the screen. Later that night, when we tried to watch something, the screen went completely black. I called the front desk, they sent a tech who turned the TV off and on again, and it started working. I even pointed out to him that there was a small chip in the corner of the screen. He didn’t speak English well and had to use Google Translate, but he gave me a thumbs up and said it was fine. When I spoke with the technician and the front desk, they mentioned that they use Spectrum and that their service is spotty sometimes, so that could be the issue. So, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I figured it was just a signal problem and moved on. I told the front desk the tech fixed the issue and the TV was working again. Didn't mention the chip because again, I assumed they communicate with their own technician, and if something was wrong, he’d say something. The next day, we were gone all day for a concert and came back at 1 AM, too tired to even touch the TV. Then Saturday night we finally go to use the TV again around 10 PM—and once again, it's not working. I Googled the hotel to get the number and accidentally called the hotel right next to this one (super close buildings in Austin). That hotel said their tech was out for the night, but she’d note the issue. Honest mistake—it literally shows up as the hotel directly above on Google Maps and I was exhausted. When we checked out Sunday, I told the front desk how our stay was generally good, but the TV kept acting up. No one mentioned anything about a charge or damage. Then I leave and get hit with a $400 charge for a “broken TV.” I called the hotel immediately and explained everything—how I had video proof from check-in showing the TV already wasn’t right, how I reported the issue, how I showed the tech the chip, how I made multiple calls. Instead of working with me, the front desk manager gets rude and tells me it’s my fault for calling the wrong hotel (even though I still reported the issue), and that I should’ve told him about the chip—despite the fact that I told his technician who was right there looking at it with his own eyes. So because of poor internal communication, a language barrier, and bad customer service, I get charged $400 for a TV that was already damaged when I arrived—something I have actual video and call history to back up. This whole thing was handled incredibly unprofessionally. I travel often and have never had to deal with something like this. Be careful if you stay here—take photos, videos, and don’t assume their staff will do their jobs. Because if something goes wrong, they’ll blame you and charge you for it.

Our overall stay was great, but we had a very frustrating experience with how the hotel handled an issue with our room’s TV. When we first checked in, we noticed the TV already had problems: there were lines across the screen and a visible chip in the corner that looked like damage from a previous guest. We immediately reported it, and maintenance came to check. Even after we pointed out the chip, we were told the TV was “good to go.” The night before checkout, we called again because the TV wasn’t working properly. We were told no one could come since it was after hours, but someone would be sent in the morning. Since we were leaving that morning, we decided not to wait. At checkout, we explained the issue to the front desk associate, who was very kind, apologized, and even removed our hotel fee for the inconvenience. During that conversation, she mentioned that TVs on the 5th floor often have Spectrum issues, but we clarified that our problem was with the TV itself, not the cable service. Unfortunately, after leaving, my boyfriend was charged $400 for damages to the TV — even though we had reported the issue from the start, were reassured it was fine, and did everything we could to communicate. This unexpected charge drained his account completely to $0. We tried calling multiple times, and when we finally got through to the operations manager, it still felt like we weren’t being heard or taken seriously, despite having proof that the TV was damaged before our stay. It’s really disappointing, because we enjoyed everything else about the stay, but this experience left us feeling unfairly blamed and financially taken advantage of.
