- SMScarlett Mclain2 days ago5.0I highly recommend this tour as a way to see the bats. You get to see under the bridge where they live and see them as they fly out. Prior to that we went around Lady Bird Lake and saw egrets, an ibis, ducks, and herons.
- HTHelen ThompsonApr 3, 20265.0Very good value to be on the beautiful downtown Austin water! Weather was perfection, tour guide a "10"! I think his name is Mike? Watching 800,000 bats ( I still wonder who counts them) fly out for their evening meal was so much fun. Very informative, a great time!
- OOOsirisApr 2, 20265.0Everytime I visit Austin I say 'I'm going to rent a swan boat' and I never do!!! But I finally did over the weekend and I don't regret it one bit! It was so fun to go out to the lake and explore ATX via swan. Staff was so helpful with loading and unloading. Things to note: wear athletic clothing or something you don't mind getting wet! I was in a floor length dress and water does get in. It is not easy to steer so give yourself enough space to turn. Kids will have a hard time reaching peddles. I'm 5' 3'' and reaching still had to scoot in to reach and pedal comfortably. One more thing: If you're staying at the Hyatt Regency you get a discount/free hour!

A little cruise where they pointed out interesting buildings and wildlife and then we went to the bridge just a few minutes before the bats started flying out. Everything was perfectly timed! The whole cruise was only an hour so it gave us plenty of time to enjoy a cocktail before and dinner after.!
