I am sitting here at 6:40 pm the day of my reservation, having just been hung up on my the front desk who called me to say, bluntly, "We don't have any rooms available so we cancelled your reservation." When I protested and asked if they were going to "walk" my reservation to another hotel, she said no. She would not be helping me in any way. I pointed out I have gold elite status with the chain and she said she didn't care. I said the word "reservation" obviously means something different to her than it does to me, and that she was screwing me over with no offer to help. She hung up on me! Do not reserve a room here. They obviously do not honor not value the culture of the IHG brand.

The check in process was a little rough due to issues with my company card and had nothing to do with the hotel. Debbie, the front desk clerk, was patient and understanding the whole time. After getting settled in my room, I went out to dinner with coworkers. When I came back, I noticed that the touch screen dial for the AC was not working correctly. I went downstairs and let Debbie know the issue I was having. She didn’t even hesitate and moved me to another room. This evening, I ordered DoorDash. Even though the app notifies me when the order is dropped off, Debbie called up to my room and let me know as well. Management, PLEASE be aware of the rare gem you have on your hand and give her a raise. It has been 1 night and I feel so taken care of and comfortable!!! Her customer service and kindness is much appreciated for a business traveler who has never had an experience like this.
