I travel for work and decided to stop here because they had great reviews. My room was nice and clean and Breanna checked me in and she was great. Great customer service 👍🏾

I've been reflecting on this experience for a couple of days and this was one of the worst hospitality experiences I've had in years. Check in was a nightmare with their payment systems down. System down & Despite having a card on file, they insisted on putting credit card information at risk by writing it down. When I declined to put my information at risk I was told I couldn't be checked in. This hotels policy is dangerous, inhospitable, and completely unacceptable. I was able to get a room after a lot of stress and difficulty. The room was as expected, but the towels were old and fraying. Gross. One bright spot - The breakfast was good. I'd avoid this hotel. Irresponsible policies putting guest information at risk, inhospitable staff, old & disintegrating towels -- its clear this ownership group is not invested in providing a quality experience.

We have never stayed at a Tru before and we're curious about it. The hotel seems rather new. Everything is clean and functioning. The interior is contemporary in bright cheerful colors. Breakfast in the lobby was comfortable and featured a pancake machine, something we have not seen anywhere else. The workout room was better equipped than usual with weights and cattle bells. Drawbacks for us were no microwave or coffee maker. Th bed was too firm for my hips and most importantly, the room is too small for us. The hotel has no larger rooms. Too bad, we enjoyed our stay..

The staff at Tru by Hilton is absolutely wonderful! I travel with my furry companion, and my experience at Hilton Home Suites was disappointing. The staff there was rude, disrespectful, and not very welcoming, despite their attempts to appear friendly. In contrast, the people at Tru by Hilton are genuinely kind and caring. During my stay at Hilton Suites, I was told that I could not get close to the breakfast area with my dog, which is fair. However, at Tru by Hilton, a very sweet lady who was serving breakfast offered to help me get what I needed since I couldn't approach the breakfast area with my dog. They truly deserve a raise! This is the kind of hospitality that has made me a Hilton Honors member. 🩷

Room was clean and quiet with good shower. Bathroom being spotless was very nice. Beds were nice and comfy. The downfall was the ice cold eggs for breakfast was very unappealing and difficult to eat because of it. We weren't late to breakfast but its as if either the eggs were not heated up properly or prepared hours earlier and left to get cold until breakfast started. Either way it wasn't a good way to start the day and this memory alone has me rethinking trying a different Hilton brand hotel my next stay in Amarillo. Only fruit available was green apples (and we hate green apples). I was hoping for at least a banana but no such luck (and this was checking out on a Monday morning too!) Funny how a breakfast can downgrade an entire stay but that's how it went for us at breakfast on 10/27/2025.
