I called to ask why and they claimed “ the housekeeper “ said the phone charger in the room was missing. I travel weekly all over the U.S , I don’t need to take a hotel’s charger. The nightly rate was reasonable at $79, and I expected to be charged a $50 pet fee as listed on Expedia when I booked it. However, upon checkout, I was surprised to see a $75 pet fee on my card - almost as much as the room itself. This ended up being the highest pet fee out of the four other pet-friendly hotels I stayed at during my trip. Additionally, the property had piles of pet waste, so if the hotel is going to charge that much for pets, they should at least have someone maintain the area. The mini fridge, ice machine, and one of the two elevators were also out of order. I was only there for about eight hours, but overall, it wasn’t a pleasant stay.

The rooms were very nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. I will definitely stay there again when I travel to Amarillo. The price wasn’t bad either. I liked the fact that there weren’t the little bitty bottles of shampoo and conditioner and body wash. It was full size bottles. They also had body lotion that was full size. I was also pleased about the fact that they had a hair dryer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is going to Amarillo.
