This is my favorite place to stay in Amarillo. Seamless check-in, pet, friendly, and good location. We stay here every time we pass through.

Absolutely unacceptable. Public comments made by a front office staff member, Jessica Tenorio, in response to the Minnesota street killing today were shocking, callous, and completely inappropriate. At best they showed reckless disregard for a violent loss of life. At worst they reflected something far more disturbing. Either way, there is no excuse.
What makes this even worse is the brand’s silence. No statement. No clarification. No accountability. Given this company’s track record of repeatedly aligning itself on the wrong side of the fence, I have little confidence they will care or act unless forced to by public pressure.
When a business tolerates behavior like this from its staff, especially in a public forum, it speaks volumes about the culture behind the scenes. I will not support a brand that appears indifferent to violence or comfortable allowing such behavior to stand. Others should take note before giving this company their money.

Maybe I am an isolated case but, we were checked in 1hr and 15mins after the 3pm check in time commitment. Given that this is a Hilton affiliated hotel, I was expecting a better service. The main reason given was that the hotel is fully booked and they were short staffed. Overall, not a good experience being a first time guest at Home2 Suites (with my wife and kids hounding me what time can we see the room after 9hrs of driving). On a positive the staff are sincerely apologetic, however, I can hear so many "sorry" for more than an hour wait, rooms are also big and the location is good. Based on my experience it would be hard for me to recommend this to others. Hope no one will experience what we've just been through.

First of all it's in a weird location. Having to get off the highway just to turn around and drive beside the highway, very confusing. Although there is a delicious steak house and bucees not far away! The room/suite was smaller than expected. There was a weird curtain separating the living room to bedroom. The blinds on the windows didn't block out enough outside light. The AC/heating didn't work very well - kept getting really hot and cold all night long. Bed was very firm, we both woke up with a stiff back. Although the bedsheets were extremely soft! Shower was a little dirty. Didn't even bother getting breakfast. Staff was not very helpful - called front desk for extra pillows and they hung up on me. When I went to the front desk to get more pillows, Tony wasn't overly friendly. Pet friendly 🐶 😺

I think we got upgraded to a bigger room 429? It was the biggest hotel room I've ever had in my life. Only complaints I could think of is the EV charger spots are often occupied with non-EV vehicles because they're right up front despite other available parking. (So not sure if they just don't enforce parking so you might get unlucky that you can't charge because a truck is parked there). Second, was the hot water at max temp was just acceptable. I like hot showers, and would have liked a little more heat. But if you like boiling showers it might not be enough for you.
Breakfast was great, went down around 7-8. Good coffee. Oatmeal/cereal toppings were basic.
