My only complaint would be that none of the external doors worked even with the room key. The pool was very nice, I was hoping for better pool towels but the hot tub made up for it.
- ECEric ChavezDec 19, 20251.0We travel quite often and look for places that have EV charging. This place advertises that they have EV chargers, but both chargers have been broken for months now. When we ask the front desk about it, they stated that many people complain, but management/ownership don’t want to pay to fix them. The Tesla destination chargers is a huge draw for us and Hilton claims they have a contract with Tesla, but seems that ownership is not living up to expectations for Hilton members. As a longtime diamond member, this is very disappointing. Not sure I’ll stay here again. I could stay somewhere nicer in Amarillo if I still have to go and charge somewhere else.
- DCDavid CohenDec 9, 20253.0I've stayed at several Home2 Suites in Texas and outside of Texas, on a relative basis this location is average, at best. The hotel needs some updating or just general maintenance. My particular room had a broken/loose kitchen faucet, broken toilet paper holder and tiles that were cracked in the shower. My first indication of general upkeep issue was a broken exterior door I would have used which is accessible to the parking area. One other reason for my "average" comment, the one staff person I dealt with at the front desk was certainly not the most welcoming person. It's possible he was having a bad day or his favorite football team just lost a big game (it's college football season). I personally had to wait and call for him when I was checking in and I noticed that occurred when other people went to the front desk. Last comment, this hotel does not offer electronic keys which I've personally grown to really like when staying at other Home2 Suite locations. This is probably an indication of the age of the hotel and/or general upkeep of this location. Safe travels!
