Online it appeared to have a lot more options. I've not paid $75 as a pet deposit before. They were able to accommodate our request for a first floor room. I paid for breakfast, first time ever. It was the same kind of breakfast you get for free anywhere else. The person at the breakfast bar told my husband we had to fill out a form for our breakfast even though it was prepaid. Something to do with tipping her? My husband didn't find it appealing so we decided to just get something along our route. When I requested a refund for our unused prepaid breakfast at the front desk, I was told because I prepaid, I can't get a refund. Since this is the second time I've stayed at a Hilton and had a less than thrilling experience, I'm going to avoid this chain going forward.

Sorry West Texas is mostly devoid redeeming qualities apart from some of the food, which is generally better in central Texas which sucks substantially less in general, but I digress, to HGI my remmendations would be to take a page from the Taylor HGI location which has handsoap pumps instead of the disgusting/wasteful soap pucks and had upgraded to toilet paper more than point two microns thick. Your staff did an excellent job on the service side FWIW. Pool/workout area looks nice, no hot tub though.
